97 000 mi is about time for big service. Denso spark plugs, air filter and PCV valve..remove the hose from the throttle body and clean the throttle with carb cleaner.Don't spray direct inside! Spray on clot and wipe clean inside with wide open throttle. inspect for vacuum leak and broken engine mounts.
good luck

If you have Diesel engine this could be caused by dual-mass wheel getting worn-out. You can probably safely drive few thousands miles more before it gets really worse. I was advised to replace clutch together with dual-mass wheel, they work together. DMW can be new or recoditioned.

SOURCE: Steerling Wheel Vibration in 2005 Toyota Corolla Sport

Hi,

More often than not steering wheel vibration is caused by uneven wheel balancing. The accident might have caused some of the correcting lead weights on either of the front wheels to be dislodged.

Hope this be of some help. Pls post back should you need additional information.

Good luck, kind regards and thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: steering wheel of my Toyota Corolla LE 2007 vivrates

Hello. A vibration in the steerign wheel indicates an issue with the front tires. They are either out of balance, and would need to be rebalanced, or it is possible (although remotely) that the tire(s) may be compromised (after hitting a pothole), the belts in the tire may be corrupted. What I would suggest is to take the car to a reputable tire place, and get the balance checked. While the tire is on the balancer, the Tech will be able to see if the tire is out-of-round due to possible road damage. Probably just a tire balance problem. Thanks for choosing FixYA for assistance.

Why is my 2007 Toyota Corolla sometimes vibrating when stop at light

It might be that the engine is running a bit rough. Check distributor gap setting. Then check plugs. If not these then you might have to bite the bullet and take it to a mechanic.

Idle fluctuating rpm check engine light

run the fault codes as the engine idle is being affected by a faulty sensor . The vibrations are probably because the idle rpm's are too low.

I HAVE A 94 TOYOTA COROLLA WHY DOE'S IT SHAKE WHEN YOU PUT IT IN DRIVE BUT IDL

The most common cause of this is that the engine mounts are hard from age and engine heat and no longer can absorb the normal vibration of any 4 cylinder engine. Also the idle may be slow due to a dirty idle speed control system or the engine can need a tune up or has dirty fuel injectors, I would service all these to correct the problems.

When my car stops by red light it gets vibration somewhere from under hood and. Its idle is around 600 rm. Help me to find out what problem it could be. It's mile is around 70000.

Engine vibrations are sometimes caused by worn engine mounts. Have yours inspected to see if they are worn and allowing the engine to vibrate excessively.

My 2007 toyota corrolla s-type has a throttle

Hi it is most likely an air fault, check the air mass sensor and clean it up with carb cleaner, this sometimes fix's the fault so worth a go before buying anything else.

This would cause the fault you mention, Im not sure about the computer issue as I have never had any faults with toyota's ECU's they are normally very good that way.

Is the engine light on? if not then it is most likely to be the air sensor, get back to me if you are unsure.

Dan

1996 toyota corolla rpm drops when a/c or lights is turned on

There is a solenoid that is mounted on the carburetor that increases the idle speed when extra strain is put on the power supply (a/c etc). Usally it gets dirt in it and jams which can cause it to burn out. A spray with a CRC type product and giving it a wiggle will usally get it going again.
