Check first if terminals at battery are correctly connected and tight, what you described can be immobilizer fault, can be power supply to distribution can be coil or even fuel problem. as you did not provided model - only general advice can be given...

1. tighten up all terminals (battery, immobilizer, coil, distributor)
2. check battery - fully charge if needed
3. check if spark is at spark plug on all cylinders
4. check if immobilizer is working by cutting it off the circuit (you need to key it off and then connect directly wires connected to it)

now, your fuel... this will be most probable cause
1. change inline fuel filter
2. check if fuel is reaching the pump/carby (you did not provided model - too many variations for detail)

this will be most "popular" reasons for cutting off, any other - unfortunately - you need mechanic and run computer diagnostic...

if you find this short advice helpful - do not forget to vote...

SORRY, IT IS A 2009 . THE IMMOBILISER IS LOCKING THE DOORS, AND ARM AN DISARM THE VEHICLE. THERE IS A WHITE POWER CABLE, CONNECTED WITH THE TERMINAL TO THE BATTERY AND GOES TO THE MAIN FUSE BOX, EVERYTIME I MOVE THE CABLE AND START THE VEHICLE, THE ENJIN TURNS BUT DIES IMMEDIATELY. THIS HAPPENS EVERYTIME I MOVE THAT WHITE CABLE. I DON'T KNOW WHERE THE IMMOBILIZER IS SITUATED IN THE VEHICLE ITSELF TO BYPASS IT. I APPRECIATE YOUR HELP AND I AM DSPERATE SEEING THIS IS MY ONLY MEANS OF TRANSPORT.

check this particular cable if it is correctly mounted and screwed in. check for breaks in this cable as well. seem like you located the problem, and most probably it will be just loose connection on this cable or one of it's neighbours. alternatively - there can be short between other cables which this one touch. if you have tools - do check the connections - tighten up the joints, if needed replace the offending cable. i would still charge the car battery in full.

Car dies, battery good, wiggle the + cable, we can start again

Make certain that the cable is snug on the terminal. you should be able to hold it with your hand and not move it. You can try replacing the cable, but if that doesn't remedy the situation, then it is DEFINATELY the battery. A battery that old is on the verge of failure!

Car starts and dies straight away

sounds like the immobiliser is dead. 1996 immobiliser in south africa qould leave the car dead but 97 onwards cuts out the fuel supply so car starts and dies. it might be fuel relay but i doubt it. try throqing fuel into the intake manually. if it stays on for longer its prob not immobiliser.

I wasn't able to read the rest of your sentence, from what I see it sounds like the fuel filter or a plugged up fuel line. I hope this helps, good luck!
