Hi...yup...sounds like you need to have your catalytic converter (the most costly part of the exhaust system) replaced for sure!!! It is the number 1 culprit for what you are experiencing. If I can help any further ...just ask!

hi have you ever changed the fuel pump? or gas filter? sounds like is loosing fuel pressure under load, I would recommend to start with the filter and then move on but have the pressure tested the preasure is 53-59 psi, thats with key on but engine not running.

Hi My Hyundai Getz is having problems starting. Sometime its starts fine, other times i have to turn the key for a while before it starts and sometimes it wont start at all. When it starts it drives...

Start with a tune up. When you go to start it do you go from off right to cranking it over? If so try turning the key just untill the dash lights come on and wait a couple seconds before cranking it over. If this works you could have a weak fuel pump or just a dirty fuel filter.

It slows down going up hill otherwise

check 2 items first. 1. your fuel filter. if it hasnt been changed in a while, change it. 2. go drive it for about 15 minutes hard, come back and look under the vehicle at your exhaust and what youre looking for are red hot catalytic converters. red = replace.

Loss of power going up hill

fuel pump is bad. they are under extented warranty from ford. take to dealer and "insist" they change it. there is service bulletin on this, but dealers often play "dumb".
