Squeeling after replacing all belts and the tensioner pulley?

Still sounds like the belts, not much will cause that type of noise. You can completely remove all belts and start engine to see if noise is still there, no harm to engine to run it for a minute or two with no belts. You will know for sure then.

I have a 99 pontiac grand am the belt seems to have melted off, does anyone know what would cause that to happen?

It sounds like one of your accessory drive pulleys has seized up. Check every pulley by hand except for the bottom (crankshaft) pulley. With the belt off, attempt to turn each pulley in the clock wise direction. Next, carefully examine the belt tensioner pulley. Look for signs of burning rubber on any of the pulleys. If you run across a pulley that you cannot turn by hand that appears to be frozen solid. (except for crankshaft pulley), then that accessory might be seized. The AC pulley is a good place to start. The belt tensioner pulley is another problem area to check. If you cannot locate the problem by using this method then post a comment to let me know and I can tell you how to check for that problem using a replacement belt and a timing light. I hope that this information will be helpful to you.Thank you for using Fixya.com.

Cant pinpoint the noise .took the serpentine belt off the noise stopped .greased the bearings for the tensioner ,did not help

Turn each of the other pulleys except the end of crankshaft pulley while listening for bearing noise. Make sure the belt is not 'tacky', which can cause noise when running over the pulleys. Hope this helps!

Cold start fan belt squeak... slight misalignment

its possible that a pulley replacement is needed but i would first reccomend buying a lubricating spray from your local hardware store and applying it to your squeeling belt if the noise stops then you may just need to tighten or replace the belt. in addition an overtightend belt can cause undesired stress on the pulleys.

2001 Suzuki Vitera 2.0 serpentine belt(new belt - didn't fix noise) one pulley squealing, need diagram to i.d. it's name to get replacement part

If it is on the end of the tension arm, it is an idler pulley. All others turn something like the alternator, water pump, etc.. Remove the belt again and spin each pulley by hand (except the crankshaft pulley) while listening for squeal or rough turning. Go to Autozone or similar parts store which can supply the part as well as identify it by description. Hope this helps!

Engine noise on area of pulleys and sometimes engine tries to sto

Don't know if this helps. Had squeel in belt area. Occasionally engine would stop when squeel got loud and sometimes engine would try to quit while going at various speeds. Found tensioner pulley was bad and changed it. Still squeeled and engine would stop when squeel got loud. This time while sitting in yard. Further checking found binding in power steering pump. Will be putting on new one tomorrow. Hope it works. Will update.
