Generally when two things stop working together, it means a fuse is out. Look inside your car's fuse box and see if you can find one that is labelled for BOTH your radio and lighter. You can actually pull out fuses one at a time and inspect them as long as you are careful to get them snuggly back in the space you removed them from. The good news is that fuses are cheap.

If you are unfortunate and the problem is more complicated, look for loose wires and make sure your ground wires are secure.
