Let's face it. A clean car just looks GOOD.
I try to wash ours at least once a week, more often in the winter when salt is our enemy. I've included a link below to show how the Pros do it.

I like out in where there are dirt roads and mud so we tend to just let it go and not care as much seeing as we don't buy fancy cars anyways. But if you want to do it on your own, every few days depending on how dirty you get it , even just rinsing it every few days would be ok and wash every once in awhile.

It depends on conditions. If you get a lot of mud, more often. If you get salt, very often. If you are in a sunny dry area, only when it looks dirty. A more important question might be how often should you wax it? I do mine about three times a year which
helps protect the paint and keeps it lookin' GOOD!!!

The frame which holds in the engine and wheels has rusted out due to the air conditioning leaking fluid on it. Why was this design problem not communicated to Acura owners. It's very dangerous.

Air conditioning 'fluid' is a gas. If anything had leaks, it should have been fixed. Preventative maintenance is the key to keeping vehicles in good condition, especially one that is 13 years old. My Lexus is serviced every 7 months.

94 nissan maxium vg 30engine wont start number 1 is TDC 20degress btdc on crank fuel and ignition is good

hi, sometimes the engine can get fuel washed. in older vehicles(carburated vehicles that is) this condition used to be known as flooded, but in the newer vehicles(fuel injected) there is a case where fuel is sprayed in and will actually wash the piston rings of oil just enough so compression cannot occur properly. i generally just open the throttle blade full(floor the accelerator) before turning the key on to start engine and crank for a little while. if there is a fuel wash condition, the engine will start to fire a bit then eventually kick over and run, when it does run, you may have to pump the gas pedal to keep running, and eventually, the engine will come back to life. if this happens to be the situation, it is time to change your oil as it will be fuel saturated and it may happen to you again(no start that is.) now, this happens about once a month in my shop where combustion just gets fouled by a mis-start and the rings get washed on a number a vehicles, but you should always check to make sure the camshafts rotate in sync with crank, timing chains on nissans like the one in the maxima are known for stretching and the guides are known for wearing. this would be the next area i would check, if the chain and guides are too worn, the engine likely won't start. good luck with it!

Snow and slush causes the belt to slip off. Belt is on properly and all the tensioners and fly wheels are lined up. Belt never came off in rain or dry conditions, only when there is snow on the road.

Not sure why but the only thing that keep the belt on tight is size and a good tensioner. You may need to replace both the belt and tensioner to fix this condition.
I have seen this condition before on chrysler/dodge vans

Power steering is stiff, if fluid is low can that cause the problem? which holding tank is for power steering fluid.

The tank has a green reservoir cap usually. The cap will also tell you if you are to use hydrualic oil to refill. The brand name is Peltosin and is sold at CarQuest etc. It is expensive, about $15-$20 per liter. You do NOT want to mix power steering fluid (ATF fluid) with hydrualic fluid. Make sure you know what your car requires and make the adjustment to the level as you need. Don't over fill, and keep the fluid from spilling on any painted surfaces etc. Wash with soap and water immediately if you happen to spill. The low level can be the cause of the hard steering, but also make sure the belt is tight and in good condition. It is a good idea to check tire air pressures too. Keep them above 30psi om 14" wheels, and higher as the wheel size increases. If you have 15" or 16" use 34-36psi for better handling and less burden on the power steering system. If the fluid is leaking out on your garage floor, you have a bad hose or pump seal, but the steering rack seals could be leaking. If any of these are the problem, get tha leak fixed asap, and keep the reservoir full so that you don't burn up the pump.

2000 chevy impala, air conditioning does not work

It sounds like the blower resistor needs to be replaced and the blower motor it self. Auto Zone will have the blower and resistor that you need to replace and will have the step by step instructions for you to get the job done with common tools and will take about 2 hours if your good with tools. Good luck and keep me posted. Setting 5 should have 12 volts running to the blower motor so check the wire harness for voltage readings at the blower motor harness clip, you may only just need a new blower motor.

The alternator is still good but everytime i jump start the car it makes it half a block and dies.

Your alternator is charging however it is not still good if it does what you are stating. Also what is the condition of your battery if you have to keep jumping your car? Car batteries don't like to be completely discharge and may not hold there charge again once run dead and may need replaced... Alternator has to have be bad as it needs to be load tested to best determine it's true output. Most auto parts stores do a run test and no load test. Load test will tell amperage rate and true quality of an alternator.

If you are not getting an check engine light, sounds like you need an good tune up,you can also take it to an autoparts store and get them to pull any codes,to what problems you have, they do this for free at most places.
