You cannot. If it is high mileage take it in to a shop. but check the fluid first.

    Can you never adjust it. No shop needed. Fixing it myself.

    IF you want to pull the transmission. Replace all the worn parts.

Sounds like you need to take it to an ac shop could have a leak or something going wrong thats your warning light and a would take it to the shop

depends on what you mean buy bands if you mean fan belt and pulley belts you cannot there self adjusting there is a large roller wheel with a spring loaded tensioner that does this if the bands are loose either the belts have stretched or the springs in the tensioner have gone

There isn't a band adjustment on these. Time to have that transmission diagnosed. There are cheaper problems that can cause this. Internal wiring harness, valve body. These are way cheaper than having to rebuild the transmission.

Transmission sometime want change at times it will

run fault codes to check for TCM fault. have a pressure test dine to check that the internals are working properly. Change the oil and clean out the filter and while the pan is off have the bands and clutch packs adjusted

I have a 500 sel 1985 and found the transmission oil pan full of muddy greyish oil.I cleaned it,drained the tork,put a new filter,and refilled it with good atf.I understand that the metal in the oil comes...

No adjustment per say on the MB. Once the bands go it time to rplace the clutch discs so they dont ruin the friction discs. Try or for parts kits.

2005 Mercedes E320 automatic rolls back when on a steep hill .

you are loosing pressure. you can probably replace the circuit board inside the transmissio or it's the beggining of needing a transmission.

mercedes did nothing wrong your transmission is probably blown up. no way they could put in the wrong parts they wouldn't fit. how many miles are on your trans now? did you ever do a transmission service on the transmission that mercedes says is lifetime fluid? dont do back to the dealer find an independant shop that specializes in mercedes, like the one i work for. the dealer doesnt care about its clients. Us independants honestly do care
