Are you a DIYer? I highly recommend you invest in a repair manual from your local autoparts store you will want it next time anyway. Or try filepeep.com if they have it, or manualslib.com.

Follow the air duct from the air filter towards the engine. It will have wires coming from it. It will look similar to this.

There are no alignment marks on the camshafts, you must use the camshaft holder tool T40005 in conjunction with the crankshaft holder tool 3242 to properly align the camshaft and crankshaft

CAUTION: Incorrect removal or installation of the timing belt can result in damage to internal engine components.

LOCATION OF B1S1 SENSOR FOR 2002 AUDI A6 QUATTRO

Referencing oxygen sensor or O2 sensor or 'lambda sensor':

B1S1 is 'bank 1', which is the passenger side cylinder bank on a V6 or V8.

I need to know where the thermostat is located for the Audi A8 V8 4.2 Quattro Automatic 2006

The thermostat is located in front of the engine, between V cylinder banks, for Audi A8 V8 4.2 Quattro Automatic. See pictures below:

tdisline_127.jpg

tdisline_128.jpg
Remove the thermostat housing (2 bolts) and the old thermostat. Note the orientation of the old thermostat (vent valve facing UP). Clean both thermostat housing and block surfaces and remove all traces of old gasket material. Install the new thermostat vent valve facing UP.

Please do rate my response. Thanks!

Were are the Egr valves located on 99 audi a8 4.2

Typically, if you can identify the exhaust manifold, you will find it mounted on that device. Look for a beefy cast bottom attached to the manifold with a saucer shaped housing above it that houses the diaphragm. To make it work, it will have a vacuum line attached to it.
Since this is anonymous, I confess to having all three of mine cheated. It does affect gas mileage somewhat, and power a little.

The thrmostat is on the upper protion in the front of the engine, you must first temove the timing belt to access it..Might as well do the timing belt job at the same time.
