It is gonna cost you more to fix it,than to buy a new one, either way,you have to take it out of the motor

I have a 2004 ford f250 it has a chip in the key. someone tried to steel it they broke the ignation. so I replaced it .. now it just starts an runs for a min. Then shuts off. How do I fix it?

Usually the security system will not allow the engine to crank or start if it does not see the right chip. Could be the engine is running on what was left of the fuel pressure before the key lock was replaced.
You have to "add" the new keys to the memory of the security system before the engine will start with a new key. You can do this if you have at least two of the old keys, or you may have to get a dealer to add the new keys. The system will store up to 8 different codes.

2000 cavalier wont start because of antitheft

If the engine will. not crank and the security light is on, the module is not recognizing the chip in the key.
The three possible issues are the sensor in the lock which you say you have replaced, the chip in the key, or the module behind the dash.
You can try a spare key or have a new key made and cross that off the list. That would leave the module in the car.

The shear key on the crankshaft timing gear keeps shearing. first time it bent valves.put a new motor in(30,000 miles) drove a few weeks. key shesred .I cut grove in crank so I could put a long key in it...

the crankshaft bolt may not be torqued correctly or for some reason inst "pinching" the balancer/gear tight enough to prevent the hammering effect that breaks the key.

Broken crankshaft sensor

Thats a common issue for that vehicle,Your gonna have to remove the oil pan so you can push the sensor out from the inside of the engine block.Make sure you clean the oil pan and the oil pickup screen and install a new oil pan gasket before reassembly.
