Can I install a push button start on my 94 c1500 suburban?

Sure can. cut the yellow wire off the ignition switch under the dash. Run a fused wire (40 Amp is good) from the battery to the push button. Put the yellow wire to the push button. Beware though, you are bypassing the neutral safety switch. It will crank anytime you push the button.

How to fix flooded bmw 523i

Maybe a new wiring harness? Sheesh, wasn't it insured? The lingering effects may drive the owner nuts. Was it sea water? Especially corrosive.

Test and check the wiring from the battery to the power distribution center or relay box. Try to find where the power is lost from the battery to the ignition switch. The hot wire for the ignition switch is hot at all times- just waiting to be sent somewhere. Check for power there and for power out of the switch when key is in start (and also in run). Would help if you have a digital volt ohm meter (DVOM) and a wiring diagram. Have you pulled the fuse boxes apart to check them for moisture damage? It may be localized to the ignition and starting circuit- you just have to look for it. Good luck, sounds like no amount of dissuasion will prevent your friend from getting it back.

My 318i bmw the enition is broke i need to find out witch wire is the starter wire

The Started wire, Is generally referred to as a Hot wire that goes to the Positive (+) terminal of your starter solenoid.

Unless you have clear knowledge of the task your trying to accomplish, I'd advise taking it to a mechanic, or buying a Haynes Manual.

I think you better have it towed, it may be cheaper in the long run. I would disconnect the battery, you could end up with a fire on your hands if the wires short out.

How to turn services light off for a 323 bmw

The way to reset any E46 BMW (3 series 1999-2005) is as follows:

Turn the car off and then hold in the odometer reset button on the left side of the dash. Turn the key to on but not start. Hold for a few seconds and the service reminder will show in the instrument panel. Release then double push the button and the service reminder will reset. If you just keep single pushing at that point, you will be surprised about all the information you can learn.

BMW convertible (325ic) E36 will not start-security system

security systems simply get between the key and the engine. The wire that is your engine run circuit is cut and and rerouted through the alarm module. Find this alarm module, find the two wires that have the same color code that are spliced into the two wires off the nodule. At this point, Do'nt cut them, jump them to each other and see if it will start. Alarm systems work on the time, pressure theory. In truth , the alarn wiring is stpid and simple. The secret is to put pressure on the thief by limiting the time he has to locate the wiring and bypass it by making alot of noise and flashing lights. Take your time and you can find and figure out which wires were cut and soliced into the module. If you have any questions, let me know.@ co7196@yahoo.com.

Hello I have a 325i automatic drive E90 (2005). Maybe once in the 10 times (random) I push the start button and nothing happends. I have changed the keys for a while but both keys have the same problem. When it fails and I get my feet from the brake and push and than do the same with my feet on the brake it will always run. It look like it has something to do with the brake sensor.

Fuses no. 7 & 37 on my 318is K-reg Bmw keep MELTING.

you have to figure out where there is a short in your wiring--follow wires, look for broken, missing insulation--if it started in lights, look there first maybe. Also check the connections of plugs. Good luck it may take some searching.
