The operation and fitment of the wheel sensors need to be checked. A scan should be run also to see what fault codes the computer has generated because with that problem there will be fault codes generated.

If this issue happened immediately after the front hubs were replaced then I would suspect the problem might be related to fitment of the wheel sensors on those 2 hubs.

SOURCE: abs and traction control light faults after a brake job. 2005 Pontiac grand prix

You have a bad sensor at one of the tires that need replacing that operates ABS and traction control. If you take it in to a shop it will run $130 but they can find which sensor is causing the problem. But if you do it you might have to replace all 4 sensors to make sure you got the right one. Every hard to diagnoses. Its better for the shop cause they can get electrical read outs for each sensor.

SOURCE: abs and traction control lights coming on

Its the abs sensor, if you encounter an ice patch or snow you won't even be able to stop because the pedal will will push back and make the rip grind noise. If you pull the ABS fuse out, you won't have ABS but you can stop and you won't have the grind noise and back pressure for now. Its safer to not have ABS when the sensor is faulty.

The TC light comes on and the car shuts off. Replaced 4 hubs , 2 sensors. Ran good for a day. Could it be a computer, (brain box) issue?

Traction control doesn't kill the engine. P0335 is the crank sensor, this will kill the car, but not throw the TC lights. Coincidence. replace it, then go to the ground points.

Traction light on

Traction light is part of the ABS brake system. I had to the same problem 2 years ago and my auto repair guy said it was my front hub bearing. I replaced both sides with new hub bearing (right & left wheel) and now I have to replace the left one again. The thing about 04 grand prix gt they have a wheel/hub bearing problems. GM never recalled for this problem

2004 grand prix no go with traction control light on.

I had the same problem with my car. I cleaned the throttle body and when i installed everything back, the car would throw 2 OBD codes: P0120 at start up and P0507 when it stalled at a red light. Took it to the dealership and they had to install a new throttle body because the throttle position sensor is internal. Cost = $718.00 out the door. Part is about $480 and labor is 1.8 hours at $99.00/hr (bunch of ****). There is only a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty for work from the dealer so I would recommend doing the work yourself if possible. There is only 2 bolts on top, 2 nuts on bottom, 1 electrical connection, and 1 hose clamp.

I had the same problem my car. It started once in a while until the light would not go off. My husband looked at it and he said the wire on the antilock brake bearing hub corroded and came off. Maybe yours is starting to corrode. My husband said to tell you that there are two wires that come out of the back of the bearing hub. He soddered it together on mine and I hav not had a problem since.
