My 1998 Toyota Avalon XLS just shut down while driving took to dealer and another repair they cannot seem to diagnose it


No reason at all, that a dealer or local shop
can not find some type of problem

HI WILL NEED AN ENGINE CODE TO BE CERTAIN
BUT SHOULD BE 1-2-3-4-5-6
IT SOUNDS DAFT BUT THAT IS FOR ENGINE CODES 5VZ-FE AND 1MZ-FE AND 3VZ-FE
ALL ARE V6 ENGINES WITH THE SAME FIRING ORDER CYLINDER NUMBERS ARE ARRANGED LIKE THIS 1 3 5

The first thing to do is try another key. Perhaps your transponder key has failed.
You can identify a 'transponder key'; it has a wide part wher you turn it.

the other areas the fault could be located are in your meter circuit plate (which is part of your combination meter), it could be in the wiring, or possibly your multi display (also part of your combination meter)
