My problem comes and goes. the eng light comes on, I go above 60mph it bucks til I drop to 60 or lower I stop at a light it wants to stall. I leave the light it drags n revs up to 2000rpm no higher.

Your having spark leak to the block check wires and boots look for cracks or burns and anti freeze could be leaking down into the cylinders causing the +to jump to - then the computers freaking out because the codes are affecting thr trans/emissions and extreme loss of power and engine management is the result

SOURCE: High revs and surges when driving.

The revving to 2000 then dropping the 1500 likely means that it is in "limp home" mode. When there is a serious problem, the car will put itself in this limited mode to avoid further damage, and to get itself back home without stalling (hence the name). Since it stalls, its likely that there is a serious problem with the fuel system, and the limp home mode will not help you any more since you keep driving it like that. 
As far as the problem goes, it could be just about anything. Almost positive it has to do with the fuel system, but could be so many different things.

SOURCE: 1997 Saturn SC2 5-speed idling/revving oddly

there are a couple of things to look at. first take a look at the tempature controll sensor, its on the right side of the block. It kinda looks like a spark plug sticking out the side of the block. If its cracked or broken then it will mess with your idle. Also you should be checking your throtle body control censor and your throtle body. clean everything out. also the BWD Ignition Module/Control Unit. If its cracked it will cause this exact problem. I would also add a general tune up with spark plugs and wires. If you follow these directions I think you will be good, if this does not work let me know, I can give more info once I have a better idea.

SOURCE: engine high rev at stop and slowly goes to idle speed.

I've got Hyundai Lantra 1.6 year 2000. It's take time to start when it's hot. When I start my car it revs at about 2k-3k rpm. It also does it when I come to a stop. When I come to a stop it will stay at a higher rpm than that of idle speed. It drives ok when on freeway but uses more petrol. I have changed the water & petrol pump but no luck

I have experienced it from the car gifted to me from my son. I complined to him over the week end he gave a solution and tried it yesterday and it works.
When you start from stop the A4 2002 will be poor in acceleration Solution: Give a slight release off the acceleration pedel and continue pushing the acceleration pedel, then it will shift to low gear and drive as other cars, solves the problem

2009 Jeep Lib Speedometer Stops, Stalls and LIghts come on

no , you were told wrong, but ABS is bad too. (or was just the stall resetting ABS to self test mode)
you have 2 independent failures.
1: brakes. (if ABS is on,, not stalled !!!)
2: engine. (this is IT, fix this)

you are guessing at ABS parts.? just throwing them. why do that?
my guess is you have a mech, and you want seconded guessing
on line with blind folks here.

the engine stalls moving,
that usually means the ASD relay dropped out, did the IMMO light come on? you need to look at what all lights did in the cluster at stall.
a stall causes rapid deceleration and loss of all engine power
and RPM drops and MPH drops and at the point of stall
all Cluster lamps go ON. they go to key on self test mode as
stated in the users manual. (lost sure)
to witness this, key on, no start, and bingo the self test happens.
those are NOT failures. its just a self test. Per manual.

Does the ABS stay off driving and not stalling or stalled.
yes, then ABS is ok......

did you take it to a shop (crooks) and tell them my ABS is on?
and they see it's out, and go, gee we can make some cash here for nothing. if you tell them wrong, they will in fact guess, and make you broke fast.
ABS can go on just with a bad brake caliper pad. a $10 part.
if car stops ok, and the lamp is out RUNNING !!!!
Then leave the ABS alone. why assume the most expensive part on car is bad, why do that...???? why not put on new pads. and rotors.
first. then test the ABS. ABS is not magic it cant help stop any car with bad manual brakes. not at all.
end brakes; now back to ENGINE.

then fix the stalls,
here is the stalls list, for only the ASD.
(even a tuneup, will end stalling)

THE ASD is the funky Jeep thing, that kills the engine for many a reason. (there are tests for each case failure)

if the CEL lamp comes on driving < NOT STALLED)
then connect any scan tool, to the DLC connector at knees.
and scan the PCM for DTC errors.
then post those.
keep in mind, errors can AUTO clear, so not seeing them
in REAL TIME< means you missed the boat.
that is, you didnt get the facts of the failure.
but errors still in effect are stored and you can in fact
scan them parked, key on.
the CEL is only a SMOG light, you must scan to see the other 100+ errors. possible.

find a real ASE shop, and ask them to fix the stalls, (car stops good)
then they will fix that
and by magic the stalls are gone and the dash lamps go happy.

change the fuel filter for one, this is telling you that your pick up in the tank is getting clogged, I would drop my tank, and drain it, flush it, and check the pump at that time

Sounds like an electrical problem. Check connections to battery remove & clean them , check + wires to engine, to power supply for the engine management.

Coming to stop eng light comes on for split second motor almost stalls than motor surges up returns to normal but sometimes stalls.when it stalls out it starts back up and light goes back out. thanks Bill

Is the check engine light on? If so, have the fault codes read with a scan tool. Most autoparts stores provide this service at no charge. It sounds to me like a faulty throttle position sensor, but it could be something else. The codes will tell you more surely where to begin looking. Hope this helped.

My Car Started To Surge At 60mph and wouldnt go any higher

Common problem with the Intrepid, i had a '99 and a '04 do this to me and it was the Transmission output shaft speed sensor both times.

eventually when the problem gets worse you will get codes for the sensor as well as codes like "2nd gear ratio incorrect". It can cause a lot of strange problems like shifting into the wrong gear. Sometimes it will also try to shift into third gear when leaving a stop sign causing it to rev high and then drop into first gear.

The dodge guys charged $90 bucks to put one in for me and i did the other myself, located on the drivers side of the transmission near where the cv axle comes out. there are two sensors there, one is Vehicle Speed and the Other is output speed. I believe they have a different number of wires so just match up your new one.
