Question about 1992 Honda Accord
I noticed my stereo started to turn on and off, then my car would periodically start to lose power for a few seconds while driving before regaining its power again. This only happened one time but I don't want to get stranded somewhere. I would appreciate any help you can provide.
Agree with the posts you already have recieved , i would also get the alternator charge rate checked , and have the OBD I read as may give a code for this issue bearing in mind that the OBD I was a pretty basic system but useful all the same

First I would check the battery cables and make sure they are tight. After checking at the battery side attachment follow the cables to where they attach on the other end. Make sure they are tight there. Be sure to check the battery cable attachment at the alternator too. Look for broken strands of wire or green corrosion at all the connections. If you do find a cable issue and need to replace, clean or tighten it. Make sure to disconnect the negative terminal from the battery first.

SOURCE: Reduced power below 4000 RPM
The main relay also controls the transmission and will cause an intermittent interruption of power and indicates its going bad. about a $60.00 replacement cost. the relay is located under left side of dash.
