In your case the pressure sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced. 1) Stores pressurized fuel (25 to 180 MPa) that has been delivered from the supply pump and distributes the fuel to each cylinder injector. A rail pressure sensor and a pressure limiter valve are adopted in the rail. 2) The rail pressure sensor (Pc sensor) detects fuel pressure in the rail and sends a signal to the engine ECU, and the pressure limiter controls the excess pressure. This ensures optimum combustion and reduces combustion noise. ---- Rail • The rail is mounted between the supply pump and the injector, and stores the high-pressure fuel. --------- Injector:-------- • This injector replaces the conventional injection nozzle, and achieves optimal injection by effecting control in accordance with signals from the engine ECU. Signals from the engine ECU determine the duration and timing in which current is applied the injector. This in turn, determines the quantity, rate and timing of the fuel that is injected from the injector. ------------ Rail Pressure Sensor (Pc Sensor) 1) The pressure sensor detects the fuel pressure of the rail, and sends a signal to the engine ECU. The sensor is made from a semiconductor that uses the Piezo resistive effect to detect changes in electrical resistance based on the pressure applied to the elemental silicon. It will be on the fuel rail on top of the
engine. Have a wire connector on it
& maybe a vacuum hose

SOURCE: p0193 - fuel rail pressure sensor circuit high input

If you have replaced the sensor, check the wires at the back of the plug. Pull them one at a time, if they stretch it is a broken wire. When you get a high reading code. It is either it's unplugged or a wire is broken.

Where is fuel rail pressure sensor high input located on a mercury mountaineer


If you are talking about a trouble code for the pressure sensor, the sensor may be telling the computer the fuel pressure is too high. The sensor is mounted in the fuel rail on the engine.

Start by replacing the FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR, located on the fuel rail atop the engine (fairly simple and inexpensive procedure). If the problem persists, use a fuel pressure gauge to verify that your fuel pump is producing enough pressure and, if not, replace the fuel pump AND the fuel pick-up screen in the gas tank.

p0190 is fuel rail pressure sensor curcuit malfunction---- - High fuel pressure
- Low fuel pressure
- Damaged FRP sensor
- Excessive resistance in the circuit
- Low or no fuel
- Wiring harness connector of the fuel pressure sensor
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor

Replacing the fuel pressure regulator, involves just replacing the regulator at the end of the fuel rail in the engine compartment, but fuel pressure sensor - does this mini-van have a fuel pressure sensor?
replacing the fuel pressure regulator: (1) locate it at the end of the fuel rail in the engine compartment,
(2) relieve fuel system pressure (3) disconnect fuel pressure regulator vacuum line. (4) remove fuel pressure regulator retaining screw (retain for re-use (5) using a shop towel to catch spilled fuel, lift & twist Fuel pressure regulator to remove it from the fuel rail. (6) remove/discard retainer and spacer bracket from the fuel rail. (7) remove fuel pressure regulator from the engine fuel return pipe. (8) remove/discard Fuel Pressure Regulator inlet O-ring (9) Check Fuel Pressure Regulator filter screen for contamination - if contaminated, replace Fuel Pressure Regulator. (10) Lubricate new Fuel Pressure Regulator inlet O-ring with clean engine oil & install onto the Fuel Pressure Regulator inlet. (11) Install the fuel return pipe onto the Fuel Pressure regulator (12) Install new retainer & spacer bracket into the slot on the fuel rail.
(13) Install Fuel Pressure Regulator onto Fuel Rail & tighten Engine Fuel Return Pipe nut to 13 ft-lbs (17 Nm). (14) connect Fuel Pressure Regulator vacuum line, (15) Install Fuel Pressure Regulator attachng screw & tighten to 76 in-lbs (8.5 Nm). (16) Inspect & verify that retainer & spacer bracket is engaged in the slots on the fuel rail. Grasp & pull on the Fuel Pressure Regulator.
to ensure that the Fuel Pressure Regulator is properly seated. (17) inspect for fuel leaks with this
procedure: On 2sec,(holy rollers), off 10sec will be left on, inspect for leaks while running.

the fuel rail pressure sensor is located in between the high pressure line and the fuel rail on the passenger side. It will have 1 vacuum hose and one connector going to it.

Mitsubishi 4D56 engine will not start. Blows fumes into top pan. Behaves like the exhaust and intake are interchanged. Engine turns in the right direction when cranked. Timing is in tact.


Turning in the right direction,does not mean it is in time,have this checked,but check the e g r valve to see if it is stuck open,if not,the valves may be stuck open,or out of time.
