Question about 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
HAVE TRIED RESETTING THE COMPUTER BY UNHOOKING THE GROUND CABLE ON THE BATTERY FOR 30 MINUTES, BUT IT DID NOT HELP.
You vehicle computer needs to relearn your engine. It will need to run a for a couple trips so the computer will adjust the timing to make it idle. Try starting it and giving it throttle to keep it running until it adjusts itself. Should get better after a couple small test drives.

When unhooking the battery turn key on all the way to run position and leave that way for about two hours and then turn off and remove key and hook up battery and start engine that procedure drains the backup battery in the computer and makes it relearn back to factory settings basicly reboots

Testimonial: "It is idling now, little rough but getting better. Thanks."
Take for Normal drive - Then park it - Let it sit - Try starting again = If results Good great BUT if still Rough Idle you need to search for Tight / need to be Tightened connections ...Factory Relearn is Turn Key On but do not Start - Then disconnect Negative - Leave 2 ++ Hrs. - Return install Negative then Turn Key off and Remove it . Now Key on ++ Start == Hopefully Idle is smooth ... If not The 5 Times Key on - Key off done slowly must be done Too convince Passkey 2 anti theft Dterrent That Battery swap was not a stealing attempt .. welcome 2 computer %^$#@ thx 2 GM overpaid staff...
