SOURCE: replacing the power steering pump on a 1998 isuzu rodeo

Remove low pressure and high pressure hoses (this one could be hard to break loose). You might want to have an oil pan handy, to capture the oil. Disconnect electrical sensor. Remove the bolt that holds belt tension adjustment plate. And finally remove the bolt that holds the pump in place. It is bolted from the back and located at the right lower corner of the pump if you are facing the front of the car. Remove the pump assy. I could not remove belt pulley at home, no matter how hard I tried. Ended up taking it to an automotive shop and they removed it in no time, using one of those "pneumatic impact guns". Assemble new pump. Fill the reservoir with PS oil. Make sure both of the front wheels are off the ground, start the engine and slowly spin the steering wheel back and forth for about 5 minutes or untill screeching sound stops and the liquid in the reservoir stops foaming. That will bleed any air that is in the system. Don't go all the way to the end of stroke. Good luck.

SOURCE: water pump replacement 96 isuzu rodeo

Remove belt, fan, fan shroud and fan bracket. Remove timing covers, timing belt and water pump. Replace timing belt and the hydraulic tensioner with new ones. I suggest you get a mechanic to do this as you can easly get it out of time. Not an easy job.

I have a isuzu rodeo 1999, and I need to get the bolts for the flywheel but I don't know the metric of them.

Diego del Rabal,

You don't want to take a 10, 11 & 12mm sockets with you under the vehicle... I'm not sure you are saying you lost your original bolts... ??

There is a lot more technical specifications to those BOLTS than their size, hardness, length... (etc.).

HARDWARE STORE won't cut it!!

Go to the dealer and ask for more...

and don't forget the throw-out & pilot while you are there!!

Oil leaking into sparkplug chamber

thread dammaged in head causing spark pug to come loose can fit heli coil to fix thread in head so spark plug wont come loose and leak oil into tube. other places oil can come from to cover plug in oil
remove rocker cover then remove spark plug tube they are screwed into head and clean thread of tube and apply sealant loctite to thread refit to head and may pay to replace seal for top of spark plug tube that is in rocker cover
one of these or both can leak, if tube is tight in head it may not be leaking the top seal is

Transmission oil

I don't know exactly. I've seen them accessible from right under the hood and I've seen them down just on top of the transmission (very short stick). The best thing for you to know exactly where they are and to fix anything else on your ride is to get a Haynes Repair Manual. Check it out: http://www.haynes.com/products/searchType/vehicleApplicationSearch2/searchEnd/yes/sfID1//sfID2//sfID3//year/1998/make/Isuzu/model/Rodeo/x/19/y/12/productID/209. Good Luck!
