My car has got a jerk when I accelerate and it's idling low what could be wrong

You injectors could be fouled. If you use non-brand gasoline, it comes from different pipelines or barged in from chemical plants or refineries. It only gets to be Shell, Exxon, Chevron, etc at the the distribution location when they drop in a package of additive that makes name brand. Gasoline develops gums that deposit on hot injectors. The additive keep the gums from depositing. (Years ago, I worked in the chemical business and know these things.) I also have used non brand gasoline and experienced the same problems. I took my car to an express oil change service and had them do an injector cleaning. Then I used an additive that you can buy at most auto parts stores, Walmart, KMart, etc. in every other tank full of gasoline. That took care of the problem. I hope this helps.

Sugar in my "1985 olds cutty sup" gas tank.Car was driveable for a week. Now I go to start my car it cranks up my car starts,it stays on for two seconds when i let go of the gas it shuts right off.

Did you have the sugar cleaned out of the gas tank? If not, you don't have electrical problems. You have fuel problems. The sugar gums up everything. The fuel pump, the filter and the injectors. Did two cars from the same family. Had to replace the fuel pumps, filters and all the injectors (couldn't even have them professionally cleaned). Cleaned out the tanks and all the fuel lines. Their insurance covered the parts and labor.

How long should fuel injectors last?

there is no "life " for injectors because of the variables that are involved in their use.Poor quality filters ( one with a high micron value) will let abrasive ( grit) through and wear /block the tips. This is found in all fuels. Fuels that are high in tar content will produce gum that restricts the operation of the injector ( fuel manufacturer and quality) contaminated fuels ( water , fuels cross contaminated by the delivery vehicle because the tanks were not properly cleaned out before refilling with a different product. Electronic power surges and shorts , water in connections . All of these things will reduce the operational life of an injector . The quality of the injector itself . Although a costly injector is no guarantee to long life, it will probably be better than an el-cheapo unit.

What do you look for when you have a 4.1L with TBI duel injectors and only one activates

Test the injectors to see if one failed

May also have to check the injector wiring end to end,
after all, you don't exactly have a fairly new vehicle

Will not stay cranked

change your fuel filter and clean those gummed up injectors ..see if that works ...you may have to sit with it and keep it running while the fuel cleaner runs the gum out ...the filter is simply stopped up ..you must get a new filter

No fuel from duel tanks to enjectors?

if you have no fuel entering your injectors I would start by checking your filters then your fuel pump. Or a leak.

I have a 88 Fiero GT V6 that has sat for over a year without starting. I put in 5 gallons of gas, and used starting fluid. Starts, but only keeps running while fuel is poured into intake. I suspect water...

1) Running fuel pump to remove water from tank will likely not empty it all, but it might help. Will still be some liquid in bottom of tank.

2) More than likely, the gas has gummed up and is no good, While your draining of the tank will help, may still need to change the fuel filter and clean the injectors. The ability to keep engine running while pouring into the intake is a good sign, but mayfind that more parts need to be cleaned and replaced prior to solving the problem.

check all vacuum hoses look for broke crack vacuum lines.replace all spark plugs and wires.if they have been changed in a while.also clean fuel injectors using prestone or gum out .fill gas tank .put a bottle injector cleaner.in tank .drive it around several miles so the injector cleaner will clean out injectors.wait until car cool down .change fuel filter. relieve fuel pressure first before removing fuel filter.
