Audio 500sel starting problems when it's hot or after filling petrol

When it does this hard start buy and keep a can of spray starting fluid in the car, spray it into the engine air intake, if it fires right up you have a failing fuel pump.

Turns over but wont start. i replaced coil packs about 4 months ago. ?? & is it true, if i am loosing coolant, but i dont see any leaks. it can be goin into intake? And replacing the upper intake will...

It can be going out of the exhaust. Fill the radiator up to the neck of the filler. Warm up the engine and let it idle, leave the cap off the radiator and keep it topped up. Check for bubbles in the radiator.
if there are bubbles then you have a cylinder head leak.

Can't keep coolant level up not leakin that i can

Hello cranky48also,

A very common problem with the 4.3 engine is the intake manifold gasket. The coolant will leak into the intake ports and be blown out the exhaust and you may not see it or it may also leak into the engine and fill your oil pan. Often you can see the signs at the front of the engine where the intake, head and engine block meet, check both sides.

If it is not apparent there you will need to do a coolant pressure test to find the leak.

My Chevy Venture 1999 when I drived the temperature was normally, but when I stay the temperature was hot. I changed the termosthator but the problem is continually.

Check the coolant reservoir and the radiator for proper coolant level. If low you probably have a leaking intake gasket or possibly a head gasket leak. The intake leak will be visible on either end of the intake manifold, located at the very top portion of the engine. The head gasket usually shows up at the rear head, nearest the belt. You could have a water pump leaking and this would show coolant on the ground under the right front of the engine, more so when the engine is running. They are very common for all 3 problems.
