Fuse wire for battery underneath seat broke and need to know what to take off to reconnect it?

The wire is underneath the seat and runs alongside the battery and in the middle of this wire is a fuse where on one side the wire broke away. The wire broke away from the connection beneath the engine compartment.

I changed the alternator and battery in my 2004 trailblazer and the radio didnt come on. checked the fuse under the back seat and in the radio. Cant find the problem.

Is it an aftermarket radio or original equipment, if it's an aftermarket radio the yellow wire not may not be connected properly, with a few other possible wire connection issues the yellow wire should be most common.

If its original equipment there's two fuses one underneath the hood of the car and one underneath the rear seat if both fuses are good most likely radio unit itself has crapped the bed, you can get one at the junkyard for anywhere between 25 and 75 bucks

2012 Kia Sorento drivers side heated seat doesn't work

There is an electrical connector underneath the seat. Verify it is connected. If it is connected, check the fuse (find fuse location underneath fuse box lid). If those two check out, check the voltage at the electrical connector underneath the seat with the heat switch on. Other possibilities include a broken wire inside the seat. If one of the heater wires is broken inside the seat there will be no continuity and the heat will not work.

Passenger side power seat doesn't work on my 2010 GMC Acadia SLT

First, find the fuse and/or the relay that controls the circuit, and verify the fuse and/or the relay is good.
Although you may find it nearly impossible to do, unhook the wire to the seat motor at the coupling underneath the seat.
It may be underneath the carpet.
Test the wire plug, with the ignition key on and the seat electric seat position lever/button pushed, and see if there is electricity to the seat.
If so, you may need a new motor.
If not, test the switch to see if electricity is getting to the switch.
If so, you may need a switch.
If not, a GMC or a Chevrolet dealer may be in your future.
God bless your efforts.

How hard is it to replace the elsectrical line leading into the fuse box?

You'll have to splice extra wire onto each conductor and seal both ends of each splice with special 3M tape to keep out moisture. You'll also have to match the wire gauge of each wire. Very tedious job, but doable as long as you take your time and don't take shortcuts.

2003 Buick Regal: how do I hook up the front seat heating system? I think they're just disconnected. I can see all the wires under the driver's side seat. Neither the driver's side seat heater or seat...

The last time I checked one of these, the wiring harness for everything you just described is underneath the seat. You'll have to move the seat all the way forward or back to get to the harnesses to reconnect them.

I hope this helps! :) Let me know if you need any further assistance in this matter.

1995 jaguar driver seat won't move.

You might want to try disconnecting the negative battery cable for 5 minutes and then reconnecting it. This procedure fixed my seat that was not working. It works fine now. I know it sounds too good to be true but it usually works

Hi Jerry,

There is a fuse panel behind the console kick panel on the passenger side. Pull the panel off (velcro stays). The legend and fuse layout is embossed on the back of the panel.

A couple other things you might try though. Underneath the front seats are sensors that normally tell the brain someone is sitting in them. Look under the seats for a plug with two wires coming out of it. Pull the plug. Any difference?

Does the the belt shuttle move at all? Is it stripped? If so, you might try helping it along to the other end of the track. It may shut down on its own that way.

And last but not least, as a temporary solution, pull the negative terminal from the battery over night until it gets fixed for real.

Let me know what you find out.

Seat heater repair 2000 cadillac sedan deville

I have a 2004 CTS. I know there are two fuse boxes underneath the floor carpeting in front of the rear seat. Remove the rear seat bottom cushion and pull the carpet forward and you will see them. Inside the cover identifies what fuse is for what function. Hopefully it is a blown fuse, otherwise my guess would be a short in the wiring some where.
