Got moused. '07 k3500 shorting inside main fuse block. have removed from truck and taken off all fuses and relays but cannot separate the case. It seems to be held together by the four threaded...

They have to be drilled out. But don't worry about doing that. Replace the fuse box. You can tear it apart to see how it's made, but you won't get it back together. Once you get it apart, you'll see why.

I have a 2.2 sri vectra and cant get the altinator lined up can get the bottom 2screws in but top 2 r in but cant get all 4in why's this

If this is a different Alternator someone may have assembled it and clocked the 2 halves out of alignment. Or you may have different diameter threads.
Sometimes early models can use one thread and problems arise and they change the thickness or go from fine to coarse threads.

The main thing is the engine block. A different Alternator may sit somewhere different on a turbo or non turbo or with or without A/C. Sometimes it is recommended that you remove and KEEP your original pulleys.

Try putting the bolts into the fixtures to check out the block treads. You may have shanked bolts in one place and full threads in another.

I cant get main fuse out???

in order to remove a fuse from a fuse box, there is a plastic tool called a fuse puller, it looks like a pair of tweezers, if this doesn't work, you can use a small screwdriver to pry out the fuse on 1 end in order to finsih pulling it out, be careful and try not to bust the fuse, if so , then replace it.

Replace wiper switch - how to remove steering column shroud/cover

This is an old question, but I found it when looking for the same answer, so I'll answer with what I found out on my 99 Galant. There are 3 Phillips head screws connecting the bottom half of the cover to the top; one on each side of the steering wheel tilt lever and one just above the ignition switch. You'll need a fairly large screwdriver.to keep from buggering the heads. I found it easier to let the wheel all the way up to take them out. Once they are out, put the screws in your cupholder and use a thin, flat scraper or something similar and pry the two halves of the cover apart. The plastic is soft so don't mess it up too much. The top should work free now and be removed, and the bottom will easily flex down to get at the turn signal and windshield wiper stalks. Once you're finished, snap the two halves back together and put the three screws back.
Good luck!

Opened up the key, but cant see what battery or where it goes

The two halves come apart, then you need to pull the cover off the back half. It has the numbers on it. Use a fingernail or small flat screw driver. Pry it with care not to break it. The battery is on the inside of the lid. 3volt flat jobby. Get a new one at Radio Shack. Try it there, Radio Shack batteries are old some times. Good Luck

How to change battery in keyless entry remote

For a 2008 Prius the "Best Solution" and "#2" are WRONG! If you pry it appart, that does not release the battery, and you have to glue it back together. There is a sliding cover, the piece with the Toyota logo on it. It is released by the same spring loaded locking slider that releases the "valet key". The cover slides in the direction of the bottom of the logo. Then there are four phillips head screws (jeweler screwdriver size) that open the battery cover. The battery is type CR2032.

I just replaced my alternator, remove belt tensioner bolt from the top also disconnet the wiring connector and charge wire from the top then go under the car and remove the main retaining bolt then with a pry bar slightly bend the power steering line brackets and you can get it through the bottom.
