How to replace a fan belt without a diagram

if your trying to repalce a fan belt without a diagram you can use 2 very simple things to make your self a diagram and its ok if you dont know what all the pulley go to or what they do. take a peace of paper and a pen or pencil and starting with the pullies draw a few differet circles i would start with the bottom pully cause its the crankshaft pullie make your circle and then move on to the next pullies now when your done with that draw the way that the belt goes i will latter on try to add a example of what im talking about.

Want to fit fan belt cant find the proper way

You have to find the tension pully. using a 3/8 socket wrench. not the socke but the actual wrench. place the square end of the wrench into the notch on the pully and either push or pull (depends on the v-belt system) and it should move. place your v-belt around the pully's according to the diagram under your hood leaving your tension pully to be the last one the belt goes on. Move that tension pully as mentioned above and place it the belt on the pully. The diagram under the hood should also show you where that tension pully is located.

Replace a serpintine belt on a lincoln mark 7 1997

If your asking how. It's simple make a diagram of the belt routing (there might be a diagram on the frame under the hood). Ther is a tentioner pully that holds the belt tight. Get a ratchet with the proper socket fit it on the nut n the center of the tentioner and you can pull the tendioner pully as to le6t the belt have slack. then carefully take it off of the pully . youll have to twist and wiggle it to come out from behind the fan then install the new one in reverse

Need a diagram on how to install a serpentine belt

usually theyre on the radiator core support or under the hood.

what vehicle?

need more info, but the easy way is to run the belt ribs on the ribbed pullies, and smooth to smooth. put it on the bottom most pulley first, and work your way around in a circle, like a puzzle.

the vehicle diagram will change with options like AC, power steering, secondary air pumps, and other things that require pullies, along with your engine size.

Serpentine belt replacement how to loosen belt

To loosen and remove the drive belt on a 2004 Toyota 1.4L engine you simply use a wrench and pull up on the spring-loaded tensioner.1d45837.gif
You should be aware, however, that if you are experiencing problems with belt squeal or rattling noise, there is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) for your vehicle that provides information for an updated tensioner assembly.

The belt that runs the water pump on 1995 Auora

Looks like the belt got hot??? You mean there are shreds of belt material all over the place? If so you have a locked pully somepalce. Replacing the belt is easy, find the diagram of the belt system under your hood. Find the pully that is the tensionor pully. Fine the correct wrench, remove tension, slip of belt from one pulley. remove belt completely, then, since you have shredded belt material, spin each pulley and see which one isn't turning easily. All the pullies will spin easily execpt for the crank. If you have one that's not, well, that one is shot. Needs to be replaced. And if may not just be the pully, might be the accesory which the pulley sits on. Example, water pump, altenator, etc....
