I need to know do a audi a4 convertible has a relay fuse that control the power in the doors nothing working in the doors

Yes they do one for each door but main voltages is supplied by another relay in the fuse box at the back i.e other side of the fuse box you need to take out the fuse box to get to it.

multifunction / central locking control unit could cause this problem. located under carpet in left front foot well. [RHD vehicle]. check for water ingress into foot well.

Convertible top has to be put down/up manually.


Just took my 2004 A4 convertible (25,000 miles) to the dealer...needed new module...cost $375 for part and $300 for labor. Maybe this should be a recall item.

Check the underhood relays. Wiggle each one and see what happens. Check all the fuses that pertain to these operations also.

when you pull the fuse door of there is sometimes a diagram on the door itself, if not then check the owners manual. if neither of those then get yourself a chiltons manual

Radiator/electric fan relay/fuse


One of those fans may only be powered during AC operation, the other should be controlled by a thermostatic switch often mounted on the bottom tank of the radiator and may not employ a relay at all.

CHECK FUSES BEHIND FRONT PANEL (DRIVERSIDE) IF THEY ARE GOOD.CHECK IF THERE IS POWER GETTING TO THE DOOR UNPLUG CONNECTOR ON A PILLAR AND TEST FOR POWER SUPPLY.IF THAT IS GOOD.COULD HAVE A BROKEN WIRE INSIDE THE DOOR JUST LIKE MY AUDI A4.(POWER CABLE CUT JUST AS IT WENT INTO THE DOOR) HOPE THIS WILL BE OF SOME HELP TO YOU....
