SOURCE: 2004 honda crv brake won't release

Your emergency brake is a mechanical brake system that is indipendant of the regular hydrolic system. If the red brake light on the dash is on make sure it's the emerg. brake and not a problem with the fluid level or the calapers sticking. the best way to check the emerg. brake is to rase both rear wheels off the ground and spin them. If they spin, the emerg. brake is not locked up. If they don't spin, take the rear tires off and the brake drums. (you may have rear disk brakes.) check the springs to insure they are all hooked up properly. If there is no problem there, follow the parking brake cable to check for damage. The cable is like a brake cable on a bike, If the inner cable is binding inside the cable sleeve, the brake wont release. If you have rear disc, it's probly a bad calaper. The park brake cable is attached to the calapers. Rember if it wont run it's annoying but if it won't stop, it's deadly. DON"T experiment with brakes!!! If in doubt, take it to a pro.

If you are not mechanically minded, leave it to the garage to adjust as incorrect adjustment can be dangerous.

SOURCE: How do you adjust the

favourite way of most garages is the block of wood and a good few grunts ,now your one is too high so its been caught somehow and its lifted ,so apply the opposite action ,piece of wood in top of door and push door onto it then pull wood down to re adjust the hinges its easy honest ,sounds hard but its not ,normally i adjust doors up by putting block of wood on jack and then lifting door a bit then swing on door frame till i feel door come up a bit ,you just doing it in reverse

Replacing door or hinges on a Ford Dodge Chevy Truck w/o removing the fender...

If replacing the hinges on a truck you always have a pain of a time re aligning the door. Unbolt the door/hinge bolts directly on the inside of the door first (not behind the fenders). The use a pencil to mark the outer edges of the actual hinges for alingment. This will allow you to set the new hinges in the exact same place as the original ones. When they are on start the 4 door bolts and tighten the very top and very bottom hinge (check for alingment). If set tighten the last two bolts or adjust accordingly. This way yo only have to do minor adjustment on the rear of the door bolts versus all bolts and saved time by removing the fenders to adjust the hinge/body bolts..

How do i adujst drivers door

Door hinges are adjusted by slakening off the M10 (multi spline) bolts top and bottom.3 on lower hinge and 2 on top hinge. Both hinges have a securing bolt accessed from INSIDE the A pillar.Remove kick panel to access bottom bolt and dash end panel to access upper---this one can be tricky.

2004 crv heater door

Most vehicles are vacuum actuated heat and A/C under dash and the blend door on your is staying closed and covering the heater core so no heat can enter. The blend door vacuum line is most likely crimped closed or disconnected. Look on top of the heater box for said actuator and the door hinge to check it. You may be able to see it even.

1994 Honda Accord 4 door. Fender removal to adjust door.

Should have kept going-it's just screws or bolts, but some are almost hidden-like front of fender and rear along door opening. Take off fender lining and look some more.
I sort of know what you mean-can be hard to get to the door hinges. have you tried like a universal joint in your ratchet and socket?
