Question about 1992 Mercury Sable
They stay on, get hot, and my battery goes dead.
The lights might be on a relay. If so you can find the relays under the dash to the left of the driver. Usually with the fuses.
If not then there has to be a ground short in the wiring harness somewhere. Ground shorts are difficult to find.
There could be a rare problem with a bulb. You could try removing the bulbs one at a time to see if a bad bulb is the cause.
