Question about 1998 Plymouth Neon
When I go to start my car it makes a loud grinding noise. It will start but if you try to start it too many times in a row it wont. I got the starter rebuilt when i had a problem with it not starting but it turned out it was just the negative battery wire and ever since then it made a grinding noise. there was a point in time when it didnt start for about a week. before that when it wouldnt start i would have to let it sit a while before trying again or id had to pump the gas. now its just so unreliable i dont want to drive it anywhere because it may not start once i shut it off. i thought maybe the starter was built wrong, i had someone tell me it was the bendix and another person tell me it was the flex plate. i dont know whats wrong with it please help.
Check starter drive, starter, starter shems, ring gear stick, fly wheel on auto, starter wire connection. hope it helps.
