It could be that your throttle body is need cleaned , it could all carboned up , get a tin of carb cleaner and a clean rag and an old tooth brush , firstly spray the carb cleaner into the air intake of the throttle body and give it a good clean with the tooth brush and then wipe it clean with your rag , I hope this helps

I cleaned the ignition control module contact plates on my 1992 Buick regal using a wire brush and steel wool.Is this safe or will it cause any internal damage to other electronic parts? My car is at least...

If there was going to be a problem you would have it by now. Steel wool is not a good idea as there are bits left over that may get between moving parts and cause problems. Normally stick with a tooth brush and wd-40 or electrical parts cleaner.

The sound goes away after either keeping my foot on accelerator or off completely. After just getting an oil change, they said I have build up on the throttle body. Can this be the cause of the faint noise...

Yes clean the throttle body with throttle body spray cleaner and an old tooth brush with a terry cloth. Take air intake hose off of the throttle body assembly open the throttle body, spray cleaner all around on the inside, use an old tooth brush to scrub the grime and wipe clean with a terry cloth. Repeat until cloth shows clean.

Battery terminal corrosion

Clean it. Unscrew both postive/ negative terminals. Use a tooth brush or soft wool, or maybe some high grit sandpaper and brush against the corrosion and clean it throurly, and reinstall the clamp back to the terminals. Eventually your battery may need replacement on the long run, since it's building up major acid corrosion.

Mercedes heater blower motor e220 comes on and off when it likes and will not select speeds

Check that the fuse is not loose but I suspect that the carbon brushes on the motor have worn or more likely have become ineffective. You may also notice that the fan engages when you turn in one direction but disengages again when you turn in the other. The motor moves slightly on its bearings due to weight transfer and the armature touches the corresponding brushes. You will need to get the motor out to overhaul it and this often means removing the windscreen wiper motor assembly first. The kitchen table on plenty of newspaper is great place to over-haul electric motors; the paper is to keep the mess down and the wife happy. With the motor out strip out the brushes. If they look to have plenty of carbon on them (5mm+) check out the pressure springs that press them to the motor armature. Carbon black and oxide build up can often render the springs action useless causing the the brushes to become fixed in their galleries. Clean everything, armature facings and brush galleries, with an old tooth brush or some such (my wife's old mascara brush works a treat) and lubricate with a squirt of WD40. With everything clean and lubricated reassemble the motor and it should run like new and for a long time.

My truck seams real sluggish and seams to lose a lot of power when the air is on plus it has a rough idle just wondering if there is any thing i could try to help , its a 1999 chevy silverado with 199000...

Idle Air control valve. these tend to go bad due to a lot of carbon build up on the pintle seat. This unit is attached to the throttle body behind the throttle plate. Your basically gonna wanna clean that throttle body body out with some throttle body cleaner, soft brush like an old tooth brush, and a rag or two.

2001 ford taurus will not idle down

several things can do this but most likely would be
1 TPS trottle postion sensor = replace
2 stuck butterfly valve inside the trottle body = clean out with trottle body cleaner try to get most of the black build up with a old tooth brush
3 bad trottle cable= feel the cable make sure it moves freely if not replace it
