How do I fix the rumbling noise behind the glove box?

The noise starts approximately after the motor is turned off. It also flattens the battery.

That is the heater blower, stuck on
with all jeeps, this year
you SCAN it first.
my guess is the relay is stuck on, or controls bad. or computer that controls it has gone nutz.
we have the schematic. need it?
or just want wild guessing, your call .
the car cam with 2 options, manual and AZC.
automatic zone controls and the work totally different.so......???????

blower motor controller bad
AZC controller bad.
scan it first.

or pull fuse 1 out of pDC, open hood, see PDC? open lid pull fuse 1.
this is blower. 40amps. (not sure what else it kills,im too lazy today)

Glove box area 2002 jeep noise

I'm lost here.
You have a noise around or behind the glove box. And you say you have filled and bled the system.
The cooling system ??
How would the cooling system produce a noise in the cabin ?
Could the noise be the blower motor ?
Or something loose behind the glove box ? Does the noise happen when you are driving, or sitting still, or both ?

2005 pontiac vibe just started making like & popping noise on the passenger side behind the glove box under the dash and the noise stops when the car is off. No heat or air was on

you have a bad actuator motor or a broken blend door in the heater box, the noise you hear is the skipping of the gears in the actuator motor, the ehating system along with ac use motors to move doors inside the heater box, the doors control the flow of the air and the temp, you will need to locate the bad one by unplugging one at a time, when noise stops you have the right one, remove it by removing screws that hold it to box. with motor removed look at the hole that controls the door, you will see a small square that the motor turns ,this id part of the door hinge, you should be able to turn side to side, this swings door left and right like a rood door, open or closed, if the door swings good then the actuator is bad, let me get a picture to help you located it, you will located the heater box in the location of the noise, behind glove box, try to acess from the bottom of the dash and also remove glovebox, hope this helps, good dayjohnjohn2_96.jpg

Engine won't turn over. Wait a few seconds then starts fine. Of course, this is not all the time. Battery checks out ok. No codes on computer. But I have now noticed some noises coming from behind glove...

I am not sure as to why there would be noises coming out from behind your glove box, But i would suspect a lose wire. more than likely on the starter itself. I would trace the red or :hot" wire down from the batter to the starter and check them to make sure that they are all tight, also inspect them to be sure that there are no bare spots that might be touching the metal of the motor or frame.

Lexus RX300 buzzing behind/under glove box

Sure the culprit is in the HVAC system. The cover under the glove box needes to be removed to look and see theres a relay panel and motors that move the air doors inside the duct work the motors are on the out side and can be diffacult to change so even if your going to hire the work done it might be nice to look first so you'll know if your talking to a person that should do this work for you Quizzing the professional sales person at your local auto parts store you'll find the person that they know that buys the parts that fix these things if he buys lots of this kind of part that shop is likly to have a person that can go right to it and fix it cheap and quicker than someone puzzeling over the repair manuel and trying difference things with your money

Vent Control Noise Behind Glove Box

The noise is coming from the blend door motors.
All of the climate control doors (vents, defroster, temperature, recirculation etc) are controlled by electronic motors. As the motors age they tend to make a buzzing noise when they move.

There is a software upgrade that is available to minimize the noise, but it will always make the noise to some degree.

Hope this helps.
