The wiper motor is controlled by the GEM module - generic electronic control module ! The GEM gets a small voltage input from the wiper switch then the GEM controls two relays in the battery junction box , windshield wiper on/ off relay an the windshield wiper high / low relay !

The front wiper/washer feature controls the speed of the front windshield wipers and the amount of washer fluid sprayed on the front windshield when requested by the customer. There are five (5) wiper modes: OFF, LOW, HIGH, INTERVAL, and WASH.

Wiper Motor Speeds HIGH and LOW There are two wiper speeds, HIGH and LOW. When the GEM detects the ignition switch circuits are in the RUN or ACC states, and the GEM detects a high or low speed request from the wiper mode circuits, the GEM will activate the wiper ON and OFF and the wiper speed circuits accordingly

Also the wiper system can set DTC'S in the GEM , should take an have it scanned with a up scale scan tool , could make it easier to fix !

Defective switch or wiring between switch and motor. The 1 wire that does have voltage is for the park function. I would pull the switch and test for voltages going into the switch, with ignition switch on, then turn the wiper switch on and see if you have any voltages coming out.

1996 ford mustang keeps blowing radio fuse after running for a bit

I would need to know if its the factory radio or an aftermarket system . If it factory, did you have it apart for any reason? Did you make sure the plug-in is all the way on?

If its aftermarket, does it have an amp? Did you verify all ground connections? Are all the speakers hooked up the same, or do you have some speaker wired backwards?

Its tuff to answer this type of question without knowing all these things, or having it right in front of you. Some places get LOTS of money tracking odd electrical problems, and I have found these above questions can usually get you close to finding the problem.

How to bypass the amp 95 mustang

The amp is under the driver's seat, but you can bypass it using a wiring kit from any local car audio place. It is an installation kit for any aftermarket stereo and should include instructions on how to use the kit with or without the factory amp.

No sound

I just installed an aftermarket radio in a 93 mustang and I had to hook up the blue wire for the power amp to work. I am not an expert just passing on what fixed my problem. Good luck
