In years past, it wasn't even called a fuse box but a fuse panel, cause there was so few fuses back then, and it was almost always under the driver side dash. That is still a favorite place for many fuse boxes, but of course now, there are many, many times more fuses on cars- with all the modern electronics on cars-lots more circuits to protect.
So today, most vehicles have a Fuse/Relay Box or block under the hood, and can have other fuse boxes, sometimes more than just one or two. And makers put them anywhere and everywhere. I've heard of some buicks with a fuse box under the rear seat, some under, some behind the glove box. So long story short, Barry, nobody could tell you without knowing what you are working on.

What fuse required: if you ever replace a fuse, the rule is to keep the same amperage rating. Never try a different rated fuse, unless you like to see pyrotechnic displays- FIRE. Fuses are color coded. Red is 10 amp, blue is 15 amp, that's all I remember for certain. But all fuses are also stamped with their amp rating.

The fuse must be in the main fuse box. The position and function of the fuses is normally marked on the inside of the fuse box cover and also in the owner's handbook. If you don't come right with these, work your way through the fuses looking for a blown one. To ease your search the wiper fuse it should be around 15 to 20 amps.

Where can I locate the fuse box for my 2003 Hyundai Elantra?

You can find the fuse box, under the steering wheel. Remove the plastic cover, and look on the back for the diagram to see which fuse to replace. There is another fuse box under the bonnet as well, usually behind battery, black plastic cover.

Where is the the fuse box on the ford expedition

Hi, it is located on the passenger side foot area. There will be a triangle shaped panel that you pull toward you to remove and the fuse box is right behind it. The fuse box cover is kind of difficult to remove, but it comes off in the same manner as the first panel you will remove, but more force is required. There is a fuse puller on the inside of the fuse box cover if you need it.

Take care
