I'm needing some help. Three months ago my car started making a high-pitch whining noise when accelerating from low speeds then it stops after so many RPM's.

Does it make the same sounds when you start the car? If so, could be a water pump. If you replace the pump, replace the timing chain/belt at the same time.

Also, you might take a lube stick to the belt. One or more could be squealing.

Mechanic replaced timing chain but rattling noise still happens. he said it could be the oil pump or the chain that runs the oil pump? was replacing the timing chain needed?

Replacing the timing chain is done around 100,000 miles, but can last as long as 200,000.
Sounds like something may be on its way out, and a rattle does indicate a chain. Not all oil pumps use chains...many use gears to spin the oil.
Most people know when it needs replacement when they are calling for a tow truck.
It could be your water pump as well. It is hard to tell where the sound comes from sometimes. A stethescope may help pin-point the sound to the part.
Good Luck!

Clanking like sound in the front end that sounds like either the drive shaft or the gears in the transfer case? Hard to hear unless pulling in the garage where the sound bonces off the walls. The clank...

First of all you need to be more specific-- Is this a car, truck,or whatever. Is it front wheel drive? Is it four wheel drive? (Sounds like a four wheel drive) Basically we need to know exactly what type of vehicle you have. As far as the noise you hear, it could be any number of things-- such as bearings. cv joints, universal joints, and so on. Once we know what vehicle you have It will definately help us narrow down the problem. Ed
