Question about Toyota Auris
Lever moves halfway up with no resistance and before clicking onto first notch.Had new pads about 10,000miles ago.Brake will not hold car on slight slope.

You just bought rear pads. The E brake pads are on the inside of the rotors. They have to be adjusted. They are not self adjusting. When I do brakes, all adjustments are free. If there is some reason I can't adjust them, I would tell you. So your problem could be the inner pads are worn or need adjusted, the cable could be stretched out, or a combination of both. Usually cable adjustment is under the car.
