I accidently took the distributor out on a 1992 4 cylinder izzuzu pickup, while doing some mechanic work. How do I put it back on without having to time the whole motor again?

The best way is to turn engine over to #1 cylinder, turn by damper pulley. Remove #1 spark plug first and put a straw or similar device in plug hole on top of piston so you can tell when its at tdc. Just before #1 piston goes down thats tdc. To replace distributor put it back in with rotor button pointing to #1 wire in cap, tighten, replace the plug then start vehicle When vehicle starts adjust distributor by turning it either way. What kind of adjustments can be made to minimize outside edge tire wear on my 2001 Toyota Highlander V6 AWD?

If you are confident the wheel alignment is correct (first option) it may have excessive positive camber (lean in or out of the front wheel). This is often adjusted at the top of the strut tower (if fitted). A good front end mechanic would fix this problem in his sleep, you would not have to prompt him.

Automatic transmission not shifting gears

What you say is possible and should be check out as well. Run fault codes and look for faulty TCM and torque converter clutch solenoid and servo. IT would not hurt to have a pressure test done on the transmission as well to see it and mechanical damage was done in the accident as if there was it will be claimable from the accident

My check engine light has been on for a while. I took it to the mechanic and they put it on the machine and it came up with a code of P0741 Torque converter. What does that mean and how does it get fix.

Your car uses a clutch in the transmission that locks the engine to the transmission at highway speeds (40 mph or higher). This saves on gas mileage, as the transmission is a bit more efficient when it's locked. Your solenoid that locks it has failed. It may be expansive to have it fixed. If you don't fix it, it will do not harm, but your mileage will be a bit lower. Check your mileage to see if it's wother fixing the transmission. Any more questions, please reply.

Had all my engine belts and a water pump replaced on Friday. Drove the car on Saturday only to have an idler arm go bad. Took it back to the dealer but I have questions as follows: 1) Did I do the car harm...

Probley no harm driving it,and hard to say if he would have noticed the problem, but if it went bad that quick, after he installed the belts, you would think he would have.I assume you are talking about the idler pulley not the idler arm, that would be on the steering.

The selector lever lock can be moved mechanically out of position ”P" when for example the battery is disconnected or completely discharged.
Using a ball point pen or similar item as an unlocking lever, push forward and hold in position.

Move the selector lever out of position "P".

NOTE: If the selector lever is moved back to ”P" it is re-locked.
