Just had my water pump, radiator and timing belt replaced 5 months ago and now my coolant is leaking again from the front passenger side of the car need the front of the hood. What could this be?

The coolant only seems to leak after I have driven it. When I pulled up in my driveway it was leaking the bright green fluid and making a hissing noise. It leaked for several minutes until the car cooled down.I tried turning the car on again this morning and monitored the temperature gauge. It never even got close to overheating and I could not get the coolant to start leaking again to locate where the leak was coming from.

I have a 2001 VW Beetle. I started the car and the engine light was blinking and coolant container was empty, added coolant and the next evening the light came on again. I noticed a leak on the front...

look for a leak from the drain hole under the pump housing, if no leak not a water pump
take the car to a radiator specialist shop and have a coolant pressure test done to determine where the leak is
if it has plastic tanks for the radiator , they split with time and leak under pressure and a pressure test will reveal exactly where the leak is unlike a guess

Passenger side coolant leak

I'd have to see it in person to comment. The water pump is on the passenger side of the van.
A mechanic would fill the cooling system then pressure test it for leaks.

What could be wrong with my 99 Mazda Protege now? 5 months ago it overheated, replace alternator and belt, now battery wont hold charge and is overheating again, and loosing water coolant.

For a coolant leak you need to check all the hoses and fittings by radiator, heater core, expansion tank for leaks and/or integrity. Also make sure that your water pump is not leaking along with radiator cap and thermostat body. Overheat condition has no effect on battery - if it does not hld charge it is because it is chemically worn out and needs replacement. Until you correct water loss, have extra water in car at all times and run your heater full blast - windows open!!!!

Leaking anti freeze and metal scraping sound coming from front passenger side of car. just replaced radiator 4 months ago. no white smoke out of tailpipe

It sounds like you need a water pump. When the bushing in the water pump shaft wears out it makes a horrible grinding marbles together kind of sound and coolant leaks past the shaft seal.

Just had timing belt put in,soon as i drove away from repair shop antifreeze begin to leak out what is the problem now?

there are many can cause the anti-freeze to leak.
you need to check to see if the leak come from the hose, water pump, gasket or radiator.
if it leak in the front then the radiator or hoses
if it leak on the passenger's side the it can be water pump or heater hose.
make sure you have coolant before you drive, because it can over heat and ruin the engine

Dodge 2000 minivan,water pump leaking

Make sure it's cool, pop the radiator cap, Remove the shield on the passenger side between the tire and front of engine. Relieve the tension on the serp belt, draw yourself a diagram of the pulleys and belt routing in case the sticker is gone on the strut tower, remove the serp belt. Take the bolts out of the pulley on the front of the water pump (3). Remove the lower radiator hose at the front cover to drain the coolant. Remove the 6 mm bolts holding the water pump to the front cover housing. tap on the pump with a rubber hammer. Install a new gasket on the new pump, and a weap hole diverter in the pump (round black about hte size of a quarter), use old one if there's no new one. Install pupm and tighten bolts snug with a 1/4" ratchet. Install pulley and 3 bolts. Install belt, top off radiator with 50/50 mix green coolant. start engine and run to operating temperature, make sure the belt is seated in all of the pulleys and is running true, radiator fans should come on. Shut engine down and let cool overnight. Check level in radiator and overflow bottle, top off as necessary.

2.3l ranger keeps overheating, been through two radiators already.

Hello Ranger Joe, eight months and two radiators is very uncommon. Question, Have you visually confirmed the leak in the radiators or is the leak near the hose connections? Replacing the radiator, cap, water pump, & the thermostat leaves only two others, the hoses and the engine block/heads. Far fitched will be something or somebody poking holes in the radiator.
