More likely a cracked head than a head gasket. You can get a head gasket test kit that will test for a leak of CO2 through the radiator.

Why does the oil in my 2001 2.2l chevy s-10 look milky like a blown headgasket but does not overheat?

milky sump oil is coolant liquid in the oil. The leak may not necessarily be a head gasket but a corrosion hole behind the water pump impellor that is allowing water through the timing cover and into the sump. At this stage it will be a pin hole but it will get bigger.. Fix the problem as the water in the oil destroys the oil capabilities and will lead to engine failure.

1996 ford probe is overheating, the fan won't come on

You have one of these:

- Blown fan Fusible
- Blown fan Motor
- Water temp sensor is shot

i won't say Blown headgasket or too low coolant level on the system because you have the fan not starting at all. that the root of the problem, do your engine overheats at high speeds? highway?

FORD FOCUS LOSING COOLANT SUDDENLY

Check for white smoke out the exhaust. If you have white smoke then you are burning coolant and probably have a blown headgasket. Another way for checking a blown headgasket is to open the coolant overflow tank and run the car. If you see constant bubbles in the coolant then you have a blown headgasket.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR CAR IF the gasket it blown as the engine will overheat and the cylinder head can warp/crack.

If there is no white smoke from the exhaust and no bubbles in the coolant system there is probably jsut a leak in the coolant system, visually check all the pipes and check around the waterpump housing for leaks. If you can't see a leak then pressure test the coolant system. A pressure test will push coolant out the leak and should help you find where it is.

Hope this helps

sounds like a blown head gasket. Pull plugs and see if a couple are very clean due to moisture burning in cylinder.

Egr cooler repalced to get us passed warranty - oil cooler was not replaced prior to 160k warranty exipred- on vacation 2000kms away (only 11000kms after egr cooler fixed) from home towing a trailer...

If the dealer put an egr cooler on and didnt replace oil cooler, it can blow out egr cooler again , restriced oil cooler causes egr cooler to blow out , which in turn can cause overheat and blown headgasket also, if you are seeing white smoke now it is possible for the egr to be blown out again as wel as the oil ooler and/or headgasket

Leaks and overheats really fast

hi it sounds like your headgaskets blown you need to take your rad cap off fill with water start the engine see if you see any bubbles in the water or if the water blows straight out its a good indication the headgaskets gone the thing on the right hand side is the expansion tank overflow if this blows water out even when cold the headgaskets gone if you see no bubbles in the water change your thermostat the two fans on the rad have nothing to do with your a/c if that doesn,t work may need pressurising yates210456
