You have to find out what all is on those fuse's and isolate the circuits till you find the draw . Looking at a electrical distribution chart would help ! Free diagrams at
After entering vehicle info . under system click on electrical distribution , then under subsystem click on fuse panel . This will tell you what all that fuse power's up . Disconnect componets till draw goes away . Could be a bad BCM or some other module not powering down .

How is 2001 Mustang GT parasitic draw on battery related somehow to FU 27 and FU39? Battery drains overnight but I cannot narrow down a faulty component. has an article if you Web search your car with fuse 27 and 32 as part of the search. It blames the GEM as part of the problem(wiper) and also points out that the radio has several power feeds. Fuse 27 is hot all the time, but fuse 32 is only hot in ACC or Run. So as long as you can test fuse 32 to be hot in only Acc or Run, it should not drain the battery in Off position. You might want to test the ignition switch to verify it is really turned off.

The all mustangs article had different symptoms, as you did not indicate whether the fuses popped.

The wiper motor is suppose to derail and turn off. If you can unplug the wiper motor overnight and the battery stays up, you would know that it is either the wiper motor or wiper control. The radio is on the other fuse circuit. But whether the radio can drain a battery in a short time, you need to measure draw, but if the fuse pops, the battery should stay up. Again, disconnecting a circuit like a radio, and then having the battery stay up, would point to the radio circuit being at fault.

Check the glove box light. I have found that they are bad about causing a draw but are easily overlooked.

Background 1. Cluster goes wacky when driving bouncing like crazy sometimes. If I tap the cluster it straightens up. (loose connection maybe) 2. Both front windows do not work, 3. Passenger side brake...

there are two things on that model year that it most likely will be one is the speed sensor has gone out and that will be located on the drivers side near the back of the transmission the other possible cause i have seen is the cluster it self

2001 dodge ram 1500 , 5.9 , 2wd....batt. keeps going dead if not started every 8hrs or so....also the dome lights quit working about the same time this problem began....i chkd batt, alt. & grounds, all...

Since alot of people don't have all kinds of special tools, This is a way you can narrow it down and then go from there. Make sure all lights and power is turned off in the vehicle including the light under the hood if there is one.. disconnect the negative battery cable off the battery. take a test light and connect the aligator clip part of the test light to the part of the cable that connects to the battery. Then take the "pointy" part of the test light and touch it to the negative battery terminal. if it lights up, that means you have a draw. the brighter the light the bigger the draw is. Now keep in mind that if you have a clock or delayed interior lights it will show a draw. If you do have a pretty bright light and want to see the area that the draw is coming from begin by taking one fuse out at a time. If the light goes out or at least dims down alot, then you now know which circuit the draw is coming from. Now from there once you find which fuse it is then comes the task of finding out what that fuse covers and you can work on it from there. At this point you will have an idea of the area that is pulling power from your battery and may need to get a wiring diagram to locate where the draw is coming from. Worst case would be to pull that fuse out everytime you stop the car so it doesn't drain the battery while sitting until you can make the repair. I hope you were able to understand as sometimes I have a hard time explaining things. I hope this helps you narrow down your problem and good luck.

1984 ford f250 inline 6 Have replaced battery, alternator, starter solenoid, starter, and voltage regulater, along with battery cables. Battery is being drained when the truck sits more than 15 hours....

If you don't have any idea what to check next, maybe now is the time to take the vehicle to an auto electric repair shop that specializes in tracing wires. You may have a short to ground somewhere, or an accessory, that is drawing current when the vehicle is off, to the point of making the battery go dead if sitting more than 15 hours.

One check that you could do yourself, with the proper tool, is to check the amps being drawn when the car is off. If the amps drawn is above .2 Amps, then it's too high of a draw. The symptoms you describe sound like it is more like 2 or 3 (or more) Amps being drawn on the battery.

Try to remove fuses to various accessories to see if that reduces the amp draw on the amp meter.
I would use an Amp meter that is inductive and has a claw that opens and surrounds the positive or negative battery cable and measures current without having to actually remove any cables from the battery, and connect in between the battery terminal and the battery cable.

Let's say, for instance, that it was an accessory like a radio that was drawing an inordinant amount of electrical current. Then, if you removed the radio fuse, the draw should go from 2 or 3 amps down to below 0.2 amps. So, that's what I would do to try to narrow down the possibilities.

1995 GMC Jimmy will just cut off while driving it. Had it looked at and after sitting a few weeks at repair center..they said I needed an altinater. Then I had to replace battery. Something is still...

If something is draining the battery you have a parasitic draw on the electrical system . There are a couple ways of testing for this . GM insturment clusters can cause this problem as well as a module not powering down . Really don't think electrical wire burnt problem . The car would catch fire an burn up.

Audio units are v common on fords for causing a high amp draw try removing the audio fuse then see if your battery is ok the nxt day if so replace the audio unit

Electrical short drawing down the battery. I have replaced the battery and checked lights and radio...

Pull the neg. battery cable off the battery and connect a test light between the neg. cable and the neg. battery post if there is a draw it will light up. Make sure the doors are shut and ign. is off and start by pulling the fuses one at a time to see if the test light goes out(making sure to replace each fuse before moving on to the next one) if the light goes off then you have found the circuit that is pulling the draw, once you narrow it down it should be pretty easy to find exactly what is drawing the battery down.

Draw on battery

Have you had any recent electrical work done, including installs of new radio, bulbs, amplifiers or the such. Something is running when it shouldn't be, obviously, but what? The easiest way to go through this with fewest headaches is to start pulling fuses and taking readings to determine if that circuit has the draw. At least this will narrow down the list of culprit. You sound like a pretty sharp guy, I'll let you take it from here.
