What happens when you turn the key?... is there a clicking or clunking noise?... try tapping the starter and the solenoid that is attached to the starter and see if that helps. It may help if you have someone else turn the key while you tap on the starter and solenoid.

The clutch master cylinder could have failed, or you may have a problem with the clutch disk. A mechanic would check the operation of the slave cylinder in the flywheel housing.
