Question about 2003 Pontiac Grand Am
Is your security light blinking , if so the car won't start . If this is what your car is doing you need to maintain good charge to battery . Put key in ignition then turn to run position , not the crank position leave for ten minutes then turn key off and do the same thing two more times . It takes 30 minutes to reset security , after the third time turn key off take key out . Then put key back in ignition and if you followed everything I said it should reset the security. If you have any questions call me at 270-556-7357

This is the TCS or Traction Control System. It helps keep the vehicle from being able to get stuck by forcing the torque to either tire. Usually there is a switch either on the dash or on the shifter that says TCS or TRAC press the switch and it should go off.

Check to see if you have a computer chip on your key. Chances are that the computer chip or the reader in the ignition keyhole is not reading it properly. If you leave the key on, engine off, for 15-20min. that security will reset and the light will go off. Turn key off and now try to start engine.
