If you are talking about just plugging into the speed sensor yes. A VTEC and NON-VTEC are one and the same.

SOURCE: 1996 honda accord LX auto trans problem

yes..sir you must take your car to the nearst Honda Service Station and ask to the mechanic there to check the transmission and replace the clutch with new one. don't forget to check and maybe change all oil that have connected with your transmission. all work maybe take 1 or 2 days depend on the part that you need to change

i would check the transaxle fluid first, if it is fine, I would then take it and change the fluid and filter. if this does not correct it, quite possibly the transaxle is faulty, sorry, I hope that the fluid corrects it for you, thanks

Where is the drain plug for auto trans on 98 honda accord

it is a recessed plug which is removed by inserting a 1/2 inch ratchet or breaker bar into the recess. make sure you replace with genuine honda auto trans fluid . the trans is the weakest link on these cars and they dont take well to aftermarket brands. i have a '97 with 180000 miles and no trans problems. good luck.

the trans will actually bolt up to the engine..but it will not work properly without the pressure switch plugged in to the harness... if u notice, there is a hole with no threads in the prelude trans..u couldnt even thread a 3rd gear pressure switch in the trans case..trust me ive seen it b4 at the dealer where i work.. i even went as far as installing the trans and when going back together, saw the difference when trying to plug the harness in...its not the same..i laugh about it now, but was very mad at myself at the time for assumeing the parts guy brought me the right part..the guy with the prelude was about to install my accord  trans in his prelude ...luckily i was able to stop him b4 he installed my trans in his prelude...i laugh about it now

1986 accord auto is stuck in first

You have a bit of metal or clutch material in a fluid passage, you will need to pull the trans valve body and have it hot tanked, if that doesn't fix it you will need an overhaul. Good luck
