Check fluid level in master cylinder. If the level is up to the full line, then the Master cylinder itself needs to be replaced. If it is low, locate the source of leakage and repair as necessary.

First check the brake master cylinder for fluid level then follow the brake lines to check for leaks and damage to eachhub as one leaky line and no braking to the rest of the braking system

Check the brake fluid level in the Master Cylinder. If it is good, then the most likely problem is a failed master cylinder. If the fluid is low or there is no fluid, you will need to track down and fix the source of the leak, bleed the brake system of air, and retest.

SOURCE: 2002 Chevy Suburban Break Lights are out, fuses are okay.

Check the brake light switch at the brake pedal, try and activate it by hand, if still no brake lights, would recommend replacing this switch. Hope this helps.

take off brake caliper, take off your brake pads. check the sliders. sliders are on the side of the bracket. see if they are moving freely in and out. im pretty sure they are seized. that's why your pedal is soft and sinks down really fast when applied.

SOURCE: problem with bleeding my breaks

this sounds like a autozone master cylinder. all you can do is go get another one. the best way, and quickest way to tell if this one is going to work is to install the master onto the booster and bleed it there by filling it up, snugging the lines and having someone inside to push the pedal down, you open the line and watch the stream. as long as you dont see air like when you bleed at the wheels. if you cant get a lack of air, take that 1 back too. the only way to get one thats good right off the bat is to buy the ac delco part it calls for. the people who "rebuild" these other ones dont often measure the inside bore when they put it back together. ive gone through 5 one time. cheers.

Breaks go to the floor

Then you have a massive leak somewhere as the brake peddle should not go all the way to the floor without some low break fluid indication. I would check brakes at each wheel as something isn't right or your not seeing it. Have someone pump the pedal and look to see if after the wheel is removed that the brake actually tightens and loosens. Remember that 4 wheels means 4 brakes, but master brake cylinder (where you add brake fluid) could be bad.

Why does my break pedal leak air?

You have a bad seal in your break booster unit,, just behind your master break cylinder is a big roung doughnut looking thing, this unit works off vacume from the engine, it helps you push down on the break peddle so its not so tuff to stop! well on that booster unit there is a seal that keeps the unit from loosing vacume past the rod leading into your break peddle, sounds like this seal is leaking vacume .. you can replace this unit your self if you want to tackle it, its going to be some work to replace and you should probley have the manual on this truck to do the work.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

All fuses are good and bulbs tail lights even work. but no brake lights

Check the break switch under the break peddle. There sould be some kind of switch with a button on it that is always pushed untill you press the break peddle. The switch goes bad sometimes.

Both of my break light are not working. what should i do?

If you look under your dash you will see a black box very small on the arm of the break peddle. As you press the break down the switch has a small button that releases causing the break lights to come on and you release the breaks the toggle switch is pressed back in to turn the break lights off. The wire that goes to the break switch may have backed out wiggle the wire and press in gentley get some one to check the breaks if this does not work the switch is most likely bad,,,,,also check your fuses

GOOD LUCK

There is an air leak under the dash and it ties in with the brake pedal

It is a defective brake booster. When the internal diaphram of the brake booster develops cracks or pinholes from age, the crankcase vacume pulls air through the defective break booster diaphram from the air intake valve located on the rod connected to the brake peddle. At first the air leak sound my change or even go away when the brake peddle is depressed. But over time the booster diaphram will detierorieate to the point where the air leak sound will be contiuious. This is a problem that should be addressed ASAP as a defective break booster reduces the power assist to the break peddle and may make it difficult to apply enough break pressure to stop in an emergency situation.
Have the brakes checked by a certfied brake shop right away.

the Brake pedal is a huge Pedal. Move your foot over.. Be less lazy in your foot placement. Its an 08 so i'm assuming fairly new to you.. Its gotta be different from what your used too. Sit up straight, slide your seat up..move your foot over, and drive. Sleeping is for Beds..
