Look at the injectors. Are the wet? crank it over, do you see fuel coming out? Spray a lubricant where the injectors sit, try to start. does it start better or run a bit better after started? O rings aren't bad. Oil pressure is low when cranking. Check for spark at the plugs and fuel pressure. first.

It reads codes po300 po300 po522 but it runs perfect sometimes I need to press fuel pedal to start?

code p 0300 refers to random/multiple cylinder misfires detected ===causes spark plugs ---HT leads ---injector/s--ignition coil/s---low compression---wiring
code p 0522 refers to engine oil pressure sensor/switch--low voltage ===causes wiring short to ground ---engine oil pressure sensor /switch---ECM
for the first code having to alter the accelerator position ( which tells the ECM to let in more fuel indicates either a low pressure in the fuel manifold or that the injectors need cleaning
At high way speeds when the engine appears to be running good , it is still possible to have random misfires caused by low fuel pressures and /or dirty injector tips
It would be a good idea to check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge ,then replace the oil pressure sensor/switch

How much injector oil pressure should I have with just starter spinning over no crank and pours white smoke out exhaust

Here's you some info from a ford manual.
you can use any scan tool that will rear ICP pressure and RPM. you need at least 100 RPM while cranking.

Check oil level and quality first. if its low, it may not start, if it's old it may aerate easily(mix with air easily)

If the smoke is white/gray and smells like raw diesel, you possibly have a stuck open/Leaking Injector, Leaking injector O-Ring Seal. A failed glow plug system, can make white smoke as I am unsure of the cranking temp. if it is Blue/White there may be a compression ring issue.

A note on 7.3L injectors!!!! ALL of the Injectors are the same EXCEPT #8 (Last one on the Driver's side) It is a "Cackle" Injector. It looks the same but is slightly different. It even has a different part number in our Ford Catalog.

I hope that helps you let me know if you need anymore info.

Tools Required:
New Generation Star (NGS) Tester 007-00500 or equivalent

9c. Monitor ICP While Cranking (min 500 psi @100 RPM)
Purpose:
To determine if the injection control system can supply enough injection control pressure to sustain starting.
much-injector-oil-pressure-just-starter-ccu5ej1tcfbj3pe04s4es3xr-4-0.gif

Recommended Procedure:
Install NGS Tester. Access ICP and IPR PIDs on NGS Tester, and monitor PID readings while cranking the engine.
Note: CMP signal is required before IPR is commanded above 14%.
If ICP does not meet the minimum specification of 3450 kPa (500 psi), the injectors will not be enabled by the PCM because of insufficient rail pressure.
If IPR goes above 14%, ICP pressure should easily go above 3.4 MPa (500 psi) provided that the oil reservoir is full, the IPR valve is not stuck open, the high pressure pump is building pressure and there is not an injection control pressure leak between the high pressure pump and all of the injectors.
Possible Causes:
  • Injection control pressure system leak
  • Oil reservoir level low
  • IPR failure (sticking open)
  • Faulty high pressure pump
  • Injector O-ring leaking

2003 dodge ram van 1500 wife drove it till bone dry no oil put oil in cranks over but will not start. Please helpz

I have to ask !!!!!!

Do you not check your oil once a month ?

Where did the oil go ?

Do you have any codes stored ?

Do you have spark, injector pulse & fuel pressure
while cranking?

Is the Battery any good (12.6 volts min)

Pull the injector fuses & crank over to build some oil
pressure & see if that helps

2001 izuzu tropper 3000 wont start... Injectors replaced, 12V ok on the injectors, Can it be anything related with the oil pressure on the rail (injectors)?

oil viscosity is very important, and yes if the rail oil pressure sensor is not reading correctly at least 3 to 5 Mpa while cranking the injectors will not be turned on by the engine ecu. if you can get a scan tool look at rail oil pressure sensor reading just after cranking it should drop to 0 to 0.5 Mpa if any different its no good, also check for oil leaking out of main injector harness connector near engine oil dip stick if oil leaking out of connector this pressure switch which is in oil rail under rocker cover is no good and injector harness needs replacing this is very common.

I have a Isuzu Bighorn 4jx1 but is hard starting. When it crank the engine on but bit not pick up speed or it it starts like it was out of fuel. Can you advice on what to do? Hear from you the...

try slightly over filling oil level if engine starts and runs for a minute or two then dies the oil pick up in sump has fallen out (cracked mounting bracket) or sucking air instead of oil. you can remove small tin engine sump after draining to check oil pick ups, after confirming it runs ok for a little while once over filling oil level in engine.
another thing that goes is the rail oil pressure sensor which reads incorrectly and a tell tale sign this is broken is the injector loom connector is full of engine oil when disconnected this is near engine oil level dip stick(wiring loom comming out of rocker cover), the sensors reading can be checked with scan tool before starting with ignition on, (0-0.2MPA) it must read if its reading higher with ignition on only (motor not running) the sensor needs replacing, the engine ECU needs to see approx 200MPA when cranking to get injectors to start to work properly and higher when running at idle and beond (up to about 5MPA at higher revs) if this is not getting to this or readings are fluctuating badly indicating air in oil the injectors wont supply the correct amount of diesel. in which the engine oil comming from low pressure (pickup pump) to then high pressure oil pump to rail and injectors.

check oil level first then if more than qt low bring up to full level them check oil pressure on gauge as cranking car or oil light make sure these things are operating correctly if not this is problem no oil pressure then computer delays starting is this white smoke or black smoke or blue smoke?

Initial problem stalling at idle. Then intermitent no start. Poor idle when starting. Has been for recall on injectors. Re: Holden Australia Now in no start situation. Has had key re-programmed. ...

In the plug by the dipstick are the pink wires going to the injectors but one will be white/yellowish on the car side - remove this wire from the plug to see if the car starts then the rail oil pressure sensor is at fault because it may read ok but the car dont run !
Anti theft light goes off when cranking thats ok but the reading for the rail oil pressure control valve is important in a no start problem does it rise when cranking ? should be about 18-25% if it goes up to 90% then the lower oil pump is starved or pulling air or the rail oil pressure control valve is suspect, wants pulling out to see if its ok .
