Is it a hard job to remove the upper intake on a 2004 nissan quest 3.5L to replace the spark plugs on the right bank

If you are not a mechanic or know what you are doing it can be. It is not that hard to someone that knows what they are doing but you must keep in mind that you are opening up the top part of the engine and if the person does not know what they are doing, and let's say they do not mark everything such as all the vacuum hoses/lines and gets them crossed up. Your going to have a mess and the engine light is going to stay on and possibly cause a lot of problems.

Worse yet, let's say that they drop something down into one of the intake openings and don't realize it. Whether it be dirt from not cleaning around the intake before removing it or dropping a bolt or something else into one of the openings?
Then it is put back together and tried to start the engine, you then will have catastrophic failure!

Seriously, if you have to ask how hard is it to remove the intake, I would seriously think twice about doing it?
Just a little advice from someone that has been doing this for over 25+ years. If you had someone that knew how to do it that's one thing but if you have never done it, I just don't know what to tell you other than only you know what your skills are.

Hope this helps

Intake manifold

If you're replacing with a stock intake it's a pretty straight forward job...drain coolant, disconnect battery, remove belt, remove alternator and bracket to intake manifold, take note of where each spark plug wire goes, twist plug wires 1/4 turn in each direction then pull up being careful not to tear long rubber boots on wires, leave spark plugs in so no dirt or coolant gets into cylinders.remove e.g.r tube from throttle body, disconnect all vacuum lines and all sensor connectors, you have to be careful removing injector connectors because they become brittle and will break very easily, remove bolts for throttle body and remove body,.relieve fuel pressure from fuel rail by putting on a fuel pressure tester and with a relief valve, there's various ways to release fuel pressure, this is safest, then disconnect fuel line from rail (if you don't want to do it that way you can leave fuel line on and remove 4 8 mm bolts for fuel rail and remove rail and fuel injectors all together, take injectors out from intake not fuel rail by pulling on them from bottom of injectors near intake)remove coolant hoses at back passengers side of intake, remove 2 10 mm bolts for thermostat housing, remove T stat...there may be a bracket on the drivers side rear of intake, (remove top 15 mm bolt, and remove ground cable at back side of head, think it's a 13 mm bolt, then remove 15 mm bolt holding the back of bracket, it's gonna be tight back there but doable with wrench) remove the rest of the 10 mm bolts holding the intake manifold on, remove intake...remove intake gaskets taking care not to let any dirt or debris to get into head ports, I usually put a clean rag in each hole, and clean around them then blow out anything that might have fallen into any can look rite down into them to make sure everything is clean.make sure all dirt is off head surface and install new gaskets, they lock into place on heads if installed correct. Put on new intake and hand tighten bolts..these bolts have to be torqued in order..starting from the middle of intake torque bolts to 15-22 lb-ft going in a crossover order (right side, left side, right side in an X pattern from center out)...install all connectors and components in reverse order , fill fluids and check over for any leaks or anything loose...I maverick have missed a few small steps but think im pretty close...this isn't a bad job, but take your time and mark anything you think you might not remember where it goes...good luck..any other questions please contact me..

How do I replace the fuel injectors on a 2006 cadillac cts 3.6 is there a video showing this?

They are held in place by the FUEL RAIL, they are not hard to change but make sure you BLOW the DIRT away from the area before working on the Area. You do not want to have the Dirt getting into the Intake.

Additionally, change the O-Rings to ensure you have a Good Seal, use the tool to get the O-Rings over Both ends of the Injector and use a light grease to allow them to slip into the Fuel Rail and Orifice in the Intake Manifold

When im stopped for awhile the engine stops and the rpms mess up

do the procedure below to clean the intake and idle speed control valve, they get sludged up and cause this complaint. aldso have you had the system tested for codes?
I want you to get a can of intake cleaner (ABOUT $5.00) from any local auto parts store like NAPA or Carquest, do not use carburetor spray, intake cleaner only or u will damage the Teflon coating inside the throttle valve and air bypass valve, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

Transmission vac lines

A mild cam should be ok as long as less than 220degrees duration (at that point it starts messing with engine vacuum at idle... that's where downshift problems begin) The trans kit does concern me. A tiny piece of dirt, or anything else can mess with the valve body. Generally the kit will just firm up your shifts, and should not change operation overall (unless you got a manual valve body kit, in which you are required to manually shift each gear (up and down!) I'd mess with the modulator some more and maybe even linkage adjustment.
Good luck
