Horn blows after I installed battery

Attach the battery cables to the correct positive and negative connections, close the hood, use your remote to lock and unlock the doors and the horn should stop. The vehicle may be in anti theft mode and locking and unlocking the doors with them closed should put the vehicle back into normal mode.
Your radio may show antitheft mode now and the code to return it to normal should be in your vehicle handbook in the glove compartment or attached on a sticker to the side of the glove compartment. It can also be had from a Honda dealer.DO NOT EVER REVERSE YOUR BATTERY CABLE CONNECTIONS.

Where is the horn relay located

Hi Ricky:
That could be a trick question as a lot of the older vehicles did not have a horn relay. This is where a bit of wire tracing will come in handy. If you find the horn(s) you can use a jumper wire from the batter positive terminal and touch the horn where the wire attaches. You'll know if the horn is functional.
- Having someone listen under the hood (engine off) while you press the horn button should make the solenoid click if there is one.
- check the fuse panel for a horn fuse, and make sure that there is power. If there is power at the downstream side of the fuse, check for power at the horn when the button is pressed.
- Have a ponder about how well the horn worked BEFORE the problem started, and ask yourself if anything specific happened that might have caused the problem.
Cheerfuls!

Horn keeps going off trunk opens and lights come on when putting in new battery why

You should have attached the ground wire on the battery first! You set off a sudden burst of electricity throughout the vehicle when the positive was attached first!

Most vehicles have a horn relay, which should be in a fuse box under the hood. Toyota is usually pretty good at identifying the various relays and fuses in the fuse box. If your original horn was shorted, it very well could have welded the contacts in the horn relay together. Also an aftermarket horn could be drawing more amperage than an original equipment unit, causing the fuse to burn. This last statement is purely conjecture.

Horn not working on a 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier

Can you hear a clicking noise when pressing the horn pad? That would indicate that the fuse, contacts, and relay are working.

This vehicle has only one horn and and you'll find it behind the front bumper on the right side. Disconnect the single wire from it and check it with a test light. Attach the test light to a good ground and probe the connector while an assistant presses the horn pad for you. If the test light glows the circuit is good. Remove the one bolt that attaches the horn bracket an replace the horn.

Looking for ground location for the horn , for 05

Most of them are grounded to the frame of the vehicle. You could try changing the horn relay , which is located under the hood, in the engine compartment fuse block. It should be clearly marked on the cover. Or, it could be the horn itself that is faulty. It doesn't take much moisture or dirt inside them to make them not function properly.

Locate the horn under the hood, probably near the front of the vehicle near the headlights. Tap with a hammer or wratchet. If this does not work, disconnect the wire that is attached to the horn itself and then replace the horn before your next State inspection.
