Code 42 is a problem with the heater circuit for the O2 sensor number 3. That is usually the sensor after the catalytic converter.
The heater is not working which could be a faulty sensor or a problem with the power circuit going to the sensor.

Heater core

May not be heater core, sounds like leaking water into car from some other source.Low coolant could be engine gasket related Check for coolant leaks in engine compartment & under car.
Also check for water leak at winshield before replacing heater core.

I have an 06 g6 gtp, today the car shut off on me and wouldn't start back up all that happened was the check engine light came on. Now my key less entry will not work on either control I have and I tried...

if I were you, I'd have the dealer reprogram the theft/fob system. perhaps another driver locked your car inadvertently with a code similar to yours.

Remote start will not let car start

The remote start won't keep the car from starting.

If you have a check engine light on currently, that will not allow the remote start to function at all.
