Question about 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue
If a metal post is still protruding through the remaining plastic, if there is any remaining. I would try to use JB weld epoxy It adheres well to metal, but not necessarily to plastic. So the fix would be problematic. Best may be to go to the DIY Auto salvage yard an look for a similar button. You could remove the whole thing, Or try to cut the part out of the location. The operation will also "teach" you how it is attached and how to replace. Otherwise, possibly Ebay, or the find.com may have a new replacement.

is it the right key for that car? cause if not then that is the problem... if it is the right key, then you might have to replace the key cylinder cause you may have something broken in it...

It'll either be your signal lever contacts are not working properly, or the electronic flasher module (under dash by steering column and is labeled) that has gone bad

Not hard at all. Seven bolts and one connector. No computer work. But you need to know if it is the front coil or back coil. Front coil for cylinders 2, 4, 6. Rear for 1, 3, 5.

. Its above the starter going into the side of the block. (front side of the engine) Disconnect the battery. Remove the starter. Remove the wIre CONNECTOR plug to the sensor. The sensor has 1 bolt holding it in. Remove the bolt, you may have to wiggle the sensor at the base a bit as you pull it out. Replace, and make sure it is pushed in all of the way. Replace the bolt, wire plug, starter, reconnect the battery.
