Check fuel sensor in fuel tank first to see if this is causing the problem. Some cars you can get to it from your trunk and most cars have to drop the fuel tank.

SOURCE: 2001 lincoln navigator rear suspension?

Here is how to tell if system is working.Get into the vehicle and close door. Set ignition switch to on position and move the gear shifter to neutral. After a few secs. you should hear the compressor turn on. If it comes on then put shifter back to park leave ignition on and exit vehicle. Compressor will stop when you open the door but should start back up in a couple of secs. after you close the door. You can then walk around the vehicle and listen for leaks.
If compressor does not come on there are 3 fuses and a solid state relay that controls it along with the module.
The 3 fuses are no. 109(50amp) in the battery junction box under hood. This is the direct feed to compressor thru the solid state relay. The other 2 fuses are located in the interior fuse panel and they are no. 6 (5amp) and no. 12(15amp).
What we usually see though if compressor does not run is either a bad compressor or the solid state relay. They both are rather expensive so I would have an experience tech look at it then.
However If you feel confident enough and have a voltmeter or test light respond back and I will tell you which wires to check.

SOURCE: I have a 2001 lincoln Navigator The overdrive kept flashing

one question at a time, the OD flashes to let u know that the transmission control module has detected a fault in the trans, this is useualy slipping, u may not even feel it. Have it tested for trouble codes.
As for the AC, is the system fully charged, does the compressor run?

SOURCE: 2005 Lincoln Navigator. Message says to Check

Most likely the problem you are experiencing with the park assist is a fault in one of the sensors mounted in the rear bumper. I would not consider it to be a major fix, however there will be a few hours labor involved as the bumper cover needs to be removed to replace the sensors.

SOURCE: my 1998 navigator 4 wheel drive got stuck& now ac wont work

2 different electrical circut's that are unrelated. Ac on a 12 year old truck is bound to need some service. Take it to a trusted shop that is not hurting for work & ask them if anything is disconnected, ie: compressor power wire, high pressure switch...ect. Tell tale sign system is low on freon is the compressor keeps cycling on & off with a clicking sound or compressor does not come on at all.

Testimonial: "Thanks that relieves my mind that they might have disconnected something accidently. "

SOURCE: how do you replace fuel pump in lincoln navigator

Fuel Pump Module Removal & Installation To Remove:
WARNING
Highly flammable mixtures are always present in any fuel related component. Smoking or carrying lighted tobacco or an open flame of any type may ignite the flammable mixtures.
WARNING
Even when the engine is not running, fuel in the fuel system remains under high pressure. Fuel system pressure must be relieved before working on or disconnecting any of the fuel lines, fuel tubes, or fuel system components. Failure to do so may result in accidental spraying of fuel, personal injury, or a fire hazard.

  1. Remove Fuel Tank. Fuel Pump ford-05-00-3947.gif

  2. Remove fuel pump lock ring.
  3. Remove fuel pump.
  4. Remove and discard fuel pump O-ring.
To Install:

I fixed the blend door actuator on my 2001 Lincoln navigator but my heater is stuck on defrost but blows out hot air

so my guess is want Ac COLD ARE
OR JUST THE MODE ACTUATORS FAILING
there is A manual AC system and Climate controls sys.
the are not the same.
I guess AC wanted,
the blend door stuck open is wrong,
if stuck open thee will be no cold.
the blend door closed and blocks the heater core 100%
if max AC cold is selected.
and recirc mode too is needed
a tiger by the tail, this VACUUM controls monster.
we only can fix them in a shop with a vacuum hand pump with vac gauge, and the service manual to ID hose colors
guessing is not easy here
there are 2 blend doors, left and right to fail.
blend is electric so this 2001 system is hybrid of elect + vac controls
air inlet it vacuum servo.
left and right mode actuator is electric motor drive.
frost defrost is VACUUM servo drive./
the service manual has vacuum logic table matric
showing all vacuum status, V or NV for each mode
and manual system is not like CliaMATE CONTROL

manual controls, I can not publish the whole HVAC chapter here.

vac-ng-undefined-undefined-0.jpg 17= heater core
6,= evapcore (cold)
11 is blower
16 is vac controls. dash
13 is engine vacuum, intake man, 20"hg at idle.

How do I fix the fuel gauge on a 2001 Lincoln Navigator truck?

How do you know it is the fuel gauge? it could be the fuel level inside the fuel tank. Please give more information. You are not getting a reading? drop tank and the fuel lever is located ontop of the tank. put an ohm meter across the wires to see if the fuel lever is working. take the fuel lever out of the tank and inspect. Be carefull not to smoke or create a spark while working on the gas tank.

2005 Lincoln Navigator fuel indicator quit working.

float and sending unit in fuel tank has gone bad or stuck..you may have just overfilled the tank. Wait and see if it corrects itself., or You will have to replace pump float and sending unit..as it all is one complete unit. It is located inside the fuel tank and you will have to have the tank drained, removed to gain access to the pump float sending unit. check your gauge fuses also

2001 Lincoln Navigator starts and dies immediately. It was running fine and all of a sudden now you start it and it just dies instantly. It is not a battery problem. I think it might be something...

have the fuel pump checked , its sounds like a bad pump. you can check press at fuel rail with a gauge or find a shop with a scope they can check the pattern, and they can check volume as well. you can have presss but no volume. and if you are checking your self and want the easy way spray some starting fluid down the throttle body and see if it stays running while being sprayed remember keep the mass air hooked up , so spray and hook intake plastic tube back up.
