The Engine management system is limiting the revs to prevent damage to the engine. You will need to have somebody with an EMU reader plug in and find out the fault code. Most Garages have the kit to do this.

Without knowing what the code is from the computer you're in the dark.

Hi ive got a 2.8td gwm 2010 was driving nicely then just cut out on me and doesnt want to start again . But if i pick up the air filter and spray in a little quick start it starts and goes for 5 or so km...

have vehicle scanned for the trouble code since it goes into limp mode then cuts out -to many reasons can cause problem

Hyundai santa fe 4wd 2002 v6 doesnt rev past 3000rpm. When the motor trys to rev to 4000rpm the motor will die. pls could u let me know

This Code is for a fuelrail pressure sensor. It would explain why you can not exceed 3000RPM. One way or the other the pressure is either too low or too high or the sensor is bad.

Renault kangoo 1.9 diesel glow plug light comes on when driving, power drops off but no smoke,show fault code p100d

p100d error code is due to fault in EGR Valve.The EGR valve shuts off to when 3000rpm is exceeded.so the EGR Valve needs to be checked and replaced. Thanks. you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

Why does my 2000 Lincoln LS V8 spit and sputter at 3000rpm? It will not exceed 3000rpm in neutral, but it runs great when in Drive at any rpm. I changed the fuel filter today.

It is an integral rev limiter for park and neutral.
