SOURCE: Crankshaft posistion sensor or ignition control module?

1) do you have a Check Engine Light On while running? If so find out what the code is
2) these engines are known for their CPS going bad...it can be tested on the car with a volt meter and turning the engine, but it isnt easy....I would have to err in the direction of changing the Crank Position Sensor.

SOURCE: Cant tell if ignition module is bad, how do you

Should be the DOHC. It will say Saturn 16v on the valve cover. Auto Zone can test the control module.

SOURCE: i took a radio from a 1999 buick lasabre cd/cas i

Hello: You have to use a scan tool to unlock the radio. I don't think you can put a 1999 radio in a 2002. In 2002 the VIN in the radio has to match the car VIN. (VIN=Vehicle Identification Number)

Buick Skylark 1997 i think the ignition control module is bad how do i really tell

Do you have a RPM gauge on the dash?If it reads something when cranking, then you should have a crank position signal to the ignition module. If there is no spark and the RPM gauge is showing cranking RPM,the ignition module may be bad.Try a used one before buying new.
If there is no RPM showing try a crank position sensor first.

Why does my 1995 Buick La Sabre 3.8l v6 stall when it gets hot?

Does it restart after it cools a little bit?
If so, it may be a bad ignition control module. On this vehicle, I believe it is located on the lower front of the engine. If you're not sure of it's exact location, you can trace where your spark plugs wires go. They lead to the coils, which are mounted to the ignition module.

1998 LaSaber won't start, changed the ignition moduele ran for a day. Now won't start

Defective crank angle sensor can cause this. No fuel, too. Check fuel pressure in rail. Perhaps fuel pump not running (bad pump). Clogged fuel filter a possibility if no fuel pressure.

2004 Buick LaSaber w/Automatic Temp control, blower motor just quit, won't run at any speed, all fuses are OK. I'm thinking bad motor?

With Auto Temp---you first need to use professional
scanner, to look at Body Module Data & continue from
there,it helps to have factory trouble charts to use &
not guess, as I'm afraid some shops still do

1995 buick lesabre cutting off

i have a 1995 buick lasaber that was doing the same thing. we replaced everything that we could think of, including the things that are mentioned here. i took it to the buick dealership and they finally were able to find out that it was faulty wiring that connects to the crank shaft censor. they said it is a fairly common problem that is misdiagnosed all the time. hope this helps.

Cruse control

Does your blower fan work on your heater/ac or your rear defrost work it could be the igniton switch were you put the key in. Turn the car on and off several times once you notice the cruise will not work and see if it starts to work if it does than it is the ignition switch this just happen to my 2003 century.
