Hi there, I have a hyundai getz 1.3 gsi 3 door 2005, the power windows have stopped working, I have checked the fuses and had to replace the slow blow 30a pink one, and the other are fine, I also try a different drivers side master switch but still not working. There seems to be power going to the switches as both light up when you put the lights on (but could they be different power feed ) so am I missing something ( etc a relay or other fuses )or could it be a broken wire somewere which would stop both sides working. P.s all other electric are fine.Hope someone can help, many thanks gordon

The power windows circuits are controlled by the Body Control Module (BCM) have it self tested for proper function.

SOURCE: door locks and power window

Just did this procedure I got from coloradofans.com forums:

"any type of power/voltage change seems to trigger this issue

The most common symptom is power locks fail and only the driver window quits, however that is on the extended cab.

Steps to fix and it works every time.

take door panel off driver's door
Disconnect the wiring attached to window and power lock control unit
disconnect battery cables
connect the negative to the positive cable(((NO BATTERY CONNECTED)))
This will act to short residual voltage in the system

5 minutes later
place the key in the ignition and turn to the run position
connect the wiring to the window/lock controller
connect the negative cable to the battery
then the positive
open drivers side door
turn key to the off position((do not remove yet)) you should get a series of dings through speakers telling you the key is still in the ignition
once it begins dinging pull the key out and you should hear the door lock solenoids trigger and the windows should work." - Coloradofans.com forums

Yes I would think the loose wire in the back of switch would have a lot to do with the problem because from that switch the power for all the other windows is controlled from that switch. If you cant find a way to tighten the looses wire you may have to replace the whole switch unit.

2003 Hyundai tiburon power window problem. Power windows stopped working.. While in the down position. Replaced the blown fuse and it blew out right away. Any ideas what might be wrong? TIA

You have either a short in the wiring (check the bundle that passes into the door from the vehicle), a bad motor, or something preventing the window from going up (binding linkage or window in the track). You'll have to remove the door panel to check the latter two.

2003 Hyundai Tiburan Power windows aren't working. Replaced the fuse and it blew out immediately! Any ideas what to check/try? TIA

Any time a fuse blows it is because something else has a problem, it is just there to protect the other components of the electrical circuit. Since it is the power windows I would look at the power window motor. If you remove the door panels and access the power window motors you can disconnect the motors and them replace the fuse. If the fuse doesn't blow then the problem is one or both power window motors. If the fuse still blows then you have a wire that is grounded (bare wire touching metal) causing a short circuit and blowing the fuse.
