How do you remove starter on 1997 Lincoln town car

try to get one with a lifetime warranty so you don't need to pay for the part if you're keeping it another 10 years +

have the parts store "bench test it" before you leave ~

10% i've seen had been re-built incorrectly or got damaged during shipping in some fashion before it hits the parts store shelf!

I removed the starter from my 1992 Lincoln Town Car.The new starter has two connections the battery the solo pod and a clip on connection the new starter has a wire lead not a place to attach to the clip...

The mean cut the wires on the old one, put of shrink wrap tubing, solder the wires, slide the shrink wrap over the joint and use the same plug. I would be inclined to take the starter back, get a refund and buy it from a place that has the one for your vehicle without adaptation.
